Ugh notice the argument was of potential vs potential. Let's say a dire situation where one healer just died and the other healer is MP dry and there is a sequence of raid dmg inc. 30 sec a MP regen Won't by itself offer much anything to keep that progression process going, meanwhile a 1min or even a 1min and 30 sec of MP regen could be the difference between a salvaged clear and a wipe. A very common occurence mind you.


Why do I keep comparing a none Dpsing healer to a dpsing healer?????? B/C THE MAJORITY OF THE COMMUNITY DOES NOOOOOTTTTTTT DPPPPSSSSSSS. So it doesn't matter if the top WHM would be out-classed by the top AST. The VAST MAJORITY of the healing community will not be able to replicated the advantages that AST poses over WHM in terms of raid dps. Why are you purposely missing this point??

Example if you had a car that could max out at 150 mph and all your neighbors had cars that could max out at 240 mph!! But NONE OF YOU go to the race tracks.... what does it matter that their car has higher potential then yours? Both you and your neighbors only drive in the city at 45mph and on the highway at 80mph. Arguing with the manufacturer to increase the max speed of your model is useless!!! And it WON'T matter until you or your neighbors start pushing your respective cars toward their maxes!!

Plainly stated....and I've stated plainly several several times now, the disparity between WHM and AST dps isn't something the vast majority of healers take advantage of. And until they start taking advantage of the dps disparity as a WHOLE SE isn't gonna bother allocating a ton of resources to fix a "problem" only a sliver of the community is experiencing. SE is more concerned with the FACT that all healer jobs in general are under achieving and they're implementing changes that will assist with that performance gap-simplifying the healer role, changing cleric function, etc.


Also it might be a sign of a failed argument when you can't state any points but you're nothing short of a myriad of insults....GG. How about refuting the points instead of just scoffing and saying it's "noise and distraction"??

And completely neglected the fact that the majority of healers can't dps ...
And you've only posed concern for the optimal player base that can consistently demonstrate AST's superiority in raid DPS over that of WHM's (a small portion of the healing community)

Another small change that's likely on the way that I've seen most people miss- Piety is no longer going to be a primary stat. This means AST and SCH are probably going to get that MND party bonus they've been complaining about forever.

RIPPPPP as a BLM, I live and die on that MP tick during Umbral ice, which is only offset by having adequate MP going into umbral ice to immediately cast thunder1 (soon to be thunder III) right after bliz 3. If raid loses that additional Piety that just mean BLM's everywhere will have to save meld slots for Piety
