If we want to use anecdotal evidence, because that's all you've presented, personal accounts of others, there has been a far bigger problem finding phys range on Aether for me. Healers are generally easier to find than that magical 1% role. Finding healers is about as hard as it was 2 years ago. I see no difference.
And queue times for causal content, such as roulettes, are about the same for me. Tank is instant, healer is instant or a few minutes, and dps is maybe 5 to 10, depending on the content.
You wanna know the real fact of the matter? The people paying the bills, indeed the silent majority, will determine the future of the game, for better or for worse (is always worse). And they log in, do a roulette, chat, rp, etc. They gcd heal through level 100 content, assuming they've made it that far, and then they log out, probably having enjoyed the time spent. The only way change is going to happen is if that change doesn't piss off the majority.
And, right now? I don't see a way for Square to fix the damage they've caused without pissing those players off, because those players requested that damage. Random crits, cleaves, and mini, untelegraphed tank busters? Found to be annoying, so they're gone. Cleric Stance? Too much effort and they used it at the wrong time. Gone. Having to manage a few dots, like the various aero versions or Sch's kit? Too hard. Gone. Sometimes a healer is better than another? Make their kits mirror each other.
No, there is a silent majority that are happy right now. To try to deny that is silly.
