    Funnily enough, the suggestion that I've been making for how White Mage could feel better for DT would actually help with that. What I was suggesting was for PoM's cooldown to drop to 60 seconds, doubling how often you get Glare IV uses, give Dia a 15% chance to proc a use of Glare IV outside PoM windows per tic, and for you to be able to hold 3 procs at a time. This change would give you more access to an instant cast nuke that could be used for attacking and moving at the same time. It's "more complex," yet gives you more personal utility. And to compensate for all that extra damage, the potency of Glare III and Misery would go down, which has the added benefit of reducing the pressure on White Mage to maintain DPS uptime as using things like your Medicas, Regen, Cure III, or even Raise becomes less punishing on your damage output.

    Sage has failed to live up to the fantasy of a sci-fi DPS healer. Please change this for 8.0. Make Sage fast, exciting, and aggressive. It should feel like a healer that plays like a DPS. Empower the aspects of Sage's unique healing mechanics: Kardia and Eukrasia to give its healing playstyle more identity.

    Giving Dia a 15 percent to proc Glare IV honestly would have been more exciting than some of the level up spells WHM got...

    Probably first expansion since Heavenwards that the new spells disappointed me a little bit and getting even more absorbs as a WHM feels weird. Idk why but always felt we should be the mega raw HPS kings.

    Because it's basically the FF series equivalent to a priest. Yes they used elemental magic but throughout all of the games white mages have been key figures as healers and spiritual leaders in the world. Priest/Clerics have always been associated with healers in TTRPGs and RPGs in general so going through RPG trends WHM should be the most big heal focused healer.

    Scholar: Chain Stratagem should just be an AoE at this point. Using chain on a single trash mob to unlock our "Bane" is a bit awkward. Either an AoE Chain or separating Baneful Impaction from Chain entirely.

    Astrologian: The new card system has received mixed feedback, but I believe the biggest issue is drifting Draw. An additional charge was added to Draw to address this issue previously, and now it feels like we've taken a step backwards.

    White Mage: While it's been a meme for some time, I believe WHM is genuinely being eclipsed by the other healers. It simply does not have the kit to compete, especially with the addition of ASTs new cards. The only thing WHM truly excels in is mobility, which may prove useful in the coming raid tier.

    I'd also like to expand on what other's had explained as well.

    Another reason why you're likely to come across to players asking for more dps options in EN forums is because the commonly recognized talking point that is skill floor vs skill ceiling. Do veteran healers wants more healing to do? Absolutely. I don't speak for everybody, but things like Harrowing Hell even in normal mode was a pleasant, enjoyable treat for me. I'd love to get more of those. But play enough times in your regular DF contents, you'll soon realize how this might be disastrous for inexperienced healers for obvious reasons: they couldn't/knows not how to handle these increased HPS requirement. To heal and keep your allies alive is the floor for the role. Because well... we're healers - we're supposed to "heal first dps second". Everything else comes seconds. Paradoxically, even if they do increase the HPS requirement for newer tier/expac, SE also decided to ramp up collective HPS potential across entire roster incl. non healers (looking at you Shake it Off, new MNK & SMN AoE Heal, PCT barriers) so that 'increase' is immediately rendered moot. But if they're not, then where are we going to use our new shiny healing button?

    So, what now? We're not healing more (We want more). We're not buffing more (which would be nice if we have that but SE hates giving us utilities + maybe AST but that has been trimmed further come DT it's almost a moot aspect). We're not debilitating enemies (again, would be nice but past example: our Virus was distributed away from our hands). What are we supposed to do besides our monotonous 1 button spam - which to add insult to the injury, all healer has the same exact fillers? I guess a race of who's to get break their nuke hotkey first... or weave /doze every GCD? XD

    Please just remove green dps from the game. Whats the point in making me press one button for 80% of every fight just so people can complain you aren't pressing that one button hard enough? It's making the game toxic to play as healer the longer it goes on.

    They don’t do that because they are too scared of actually making healers heal

    Or the worst of all worlds healers lose DPS options and tanks maintain survivability

    Imagine being forced to cure 1 spam an immortal WAR, just log off at that point your contribution is equivalent

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

    If you do that, then healers will no longer be "casual-friendly" as it meant all fights will be designed to have consistent and "stressful" healing checks to challenge a 100% healing kit... unless you mean removing healers since their healing, supportive, and mitigating actions have been scattered to all jobs.
