Because it's not that serious, this isn't real life, no one's life or livelihood is on the line and the OP just came up with a hashtag that in the end was brilliant marketing that drew a ton of attention to this thread and situation. No matter what happens with other people or the game, if you stop playing healer and play some other job that's more fun, you won. Naysay or complain about it being called a "strike" if it makes you feel better but you can't stop people from simply choosing to have more fun in the game. Maybe it should have been called #FFXIVHEALERMALICIOUSCOMPLIANCE or something.

True, and this has been brought up before, a couple of times.
But eventhough it's not real life, only a game, the word "strike" has given people the wrong view of what this really is and what it wants to accomplish.
So I'm simply saying that if it had been worded differently, people might've approached it differently.

This only shows how quick people are to point fingers as soon as someone says anything that doesn't follow suit.

Nontheless, people have several times mentioned how calling this a Strike yet this "strike" isn't meant to act like a strike.
And since this strike is a protest, why not just call it for what it is, a protest?

Supersnow proving again with this quote that he (and many of the people striking) don't understand what the strike is actually about. This is from YOUR manifesto (not you personally, but the one you "signed on to" by participating in it):

This by its very nature is predicated on the idea that something fundamental in the design of the game itself needs to change. It is claiming the game in its current form is not fulfilling for everyone (we'll leave aside the utter impossibility of even accomplishing that and the immature take at its heart). That is the purpose of your "strike." It's mind-boggling that people are signing onto it without even knowing what they're signing on to (actually, that's...not surprising in today's society...).

And, I'll say again, if you aren't trying to bring about a fundamental change to the game, then the only thing left to be a purpose for "going on strike" is to call attention to yourself. Instead of just, you know, simply choosing other roles, people have to announce it to the world and make themselves the center of attention. I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt that the group supporting the strike isn't that egocentric.

This only means that players who are unhappy with the state of the healers want the dev to turn their attention to what they consider to be major problems with the healers design that are pushing a number of them away from the role. To what we consider to be issues, not to us.

Which part is difficult to understand in "The purpose of the healer strike and this thread is to garner support for necessary changes and adjustments" and in "voice your concerns, express your feelings in a constructive manner, point out issues, make suggestions"?

And since the goal is to make the dev to turn their attention to the topicas all other threads and remarks in LL chats all theses years have been ignored, how would you proceed to do so ? Because that's really strange, since the whole thing was called a strike the topic of the healers issues never had as much attention as it have now.

No you're clearly not, else you wouldn't write all these ambiguous posts trying to put words in ppl mouths and being dismissive. It just shows us that you don't even take the time to read the things that are addressed to you.

Non-healers: *get catered to by the devs, get emergency hotfixes for minor issues, get a role (DPS) that has never been skipped for new jobs, get abilities that make healers functionally obsolete in everyday content*

Also non-healers: "HURR DURR UR MAEKIN IT ALL ABUT URSELF!1!!!!11!1!one!1!eleven!"
