It’s like that every expansion. You feel like some of the early dungeons and trials feel like they ask for more healing because of the low ilvl, rusty players, etc… And then you’ll find a dungeon like Smileton at max level.

I wouldn't say that Black Mage is braindead, but it's certainly a lot easier than before. I miss the sharpcast tech, and needing to force out some movement opportunities, rather than just having three almost free movement GCDs in every fire phase. You know what's saddest about that? Even his class has finally been hit with the "Braindead Bat." Which, let me tell you, is depressing as hell. The one class that we could almost be sure actually took a brain to play, because it was the love child of Yoshi P, and yet here we are in Yawntrail, and his class is just as dumb as everyone else's.
I'll still enjoy it, but I'll feel less full of myself for beating savage tiers with it this time around.

Everyone who is saying “Well I healed this new thing today and it was actually quite challenging and fun!” That is because it is new and you are with new people, you are new and don’t know what is coming. While I agree and do feel envious of those healer moments, that is not a “gotcha” to this strike. It speaks as if you don’t understand the core problem healers are tired of. Those moments of “wow that was fun to heal” are fleeting. Once you have run the trial or dungeon enough you heal less and start to dps more and pop an ogcd here and there to keep everyone alive, but your dps is 2 button spam at most.
I keep seeing "Healing is more fun when people make mistakes!" No. It isn't. It's annoying. You wouldn't use this stupid justification for having to work twice as hard when a coworker at your job made a mistake that affected your department, it's not a justification for the terrible healing design here. Having to scrape Faceplant Floorlicker off the ground for the sixth time because they can't stop standing in AoEs doesn't make content fun. It just means you cast Raise in the place of several Glares instead.Everyone who is saying “Well I healed this new thing today and it was actually quite challenging and fun!” That is because it is new and you are with new people, you are new and don’t know what is coming. So, people out there having fun healing and you guys are mad about that.
Enough said about this strike.

This sounds like an argument not to strike now as this period of time is when healing is most fun. Before everyone has run the dungeons 2 million times and out gears them to the point we aren’t needed. lol

Show me one post where people are mad about that. At best, you will find people pointing out that there is more damage because people are new to the content, and that will not last long.

It is an argument to strike now, its the whole point. A lot of people saw xenos video (since it hit the news...) and assume its because of this and its a NEW problem, yet a good portion of healers have been feeling this frustration and boredom for years (since SB for me). Just because RIGHT NOW is fun, we know it will not last, it never does because it never changes. I remember in EW people saying "just wait it will get better probably, you guys are crying before seeing how the fights are" and then seeing people clear Ultimates without healers in the next patch. If we don't do a strike now, when? And besides I can clearly read how healers play still and I can see they are with 1-2 button spam for dps with way to many overcompensating heals while tanks and dps got more mitigation skills.
My wish for this strike is people who don't usually heal will switch to healer, maybe they will find they rather enjoy healing, or maybe they will finally understand the frustration and give their support.

That was sort of my point though, that some of the anti-strikers specifically started playing healer but only got it so far before they stopped compared to some other jobs they played to cap. Now why would they dabble in but then completely abandon a role like that part way through? Hmm... how curious...I don't think not having a healer at 90 is a good enough reason to discount someone as long as they have leveled some on the healer. I have NOTHING at 90 despite playing over 5 years. My highest healer is in the 70's I think. Stopped playing it.
Also not everyone posts on their main character. When I started posting on the forums Myrany here was my main. As of last expansion that changed but rather than muddy waters about who I am by posting on a different character I just stuck with Myrany.
I'll fully admit that comes off like prying, but it's much quicker and easier to check what jobs people have leveled compared to the person who made that spreadsheet, or how a lot of anti-strikers elsewhere looooved bringing it up as the ultimate "gotcha" so it seems only fair to point out "hey, uh, I couldn't help but notice a lot of you never actually played healer/quit playing it early on". I'm also obviously not going to name & shame, but the ones that know they got caught lackin' know who they are, lol.

Incidentally, I've been working on ARR relic weapons, and the difference between the solo play I did on tanks/DPS versus healer on each step *really* stands out. Blasting through a dungeon using my one single target and primary AOE, doing leves with the same single target attack, and oh god the FATEs where I *can't* just one-shot the boss... 111111211111121111112 gameplay at its peak. At least with tanks/DPS I got to hit more than three buttons total and see more than three animations, hell I didn't even need to heal during the FATEs because of the chocobo and/or fairy.
In that regards, I can't blame the before-mentioned anti-strikers for quitting healer early on because... gods... can you imagine doing *any* synced solo content as a healer job? It's basically a job only meant for group content, and then it doesn't even get to do that much, and you literally are just "green DPS" in PVP though you sometimes also get to drop buffs/debuffs/DoTs at least giving you *some* support utility.
