that is some cope right thereUh no it's been successful.
Pretty much did what they said they were gonna do and move on to play better roles like DPS. That's all the strike was.
"This role sucks, here's why it sucks, it's someone else's problem now, I'm gonna go play DPS bye."
Maybe it'll have an effect on healer quality in savage/extreme PF because a lot of decade long healer mains have quit the role but I don't think most people expected the entire healer playerbase to die.
A strike to be effective would have required it to have an actual significant impact on gameplay for others, just like a real life strike when workers walk off a job.
While a tiny minority of healers have moved on to other jobs, I am still encountering TONS of healers in my server doing the story and queuing for group content. So no. You healer strike has not worked because it’s not had any effect on anyone. By very definition of what a strike’s purpose is is to stop productivity in protest. A minority of yall are being loud yeah, but even in my server when the “strike” gets mentioned it’s made fun of because we all still have plenty of healers running around…. In short far more than those “striking”
What is it with you people and not reading the OP? It says the strike is a form of protest and specifically that it is not meant to disrupt anyone's gameplay. Literally the opposite of what you're claiming the goal is.

I’m have you even read the same thread. MANY of you striking are hoping to negatively impact queues to make a point. For Christ sake just a reply on this page said “well it may not be impacting normal stuff but it’ll impact savage/ultimates”Nobody, and I mean nobody, did this strike to influence queue times. We did it just to say “healers have sucked too hard for too long. Not doing it anymore.”
This doesn’t mean we hate FFXIV as a whole, it means we’re sick of our favorite role being reduced to 1 button casters.
So yeah a strike’s purpose is to stop productivity. This has failed. It also has NOT significantly reduced the number of healers running around the data centers and servers because as many of us tried to point out repeatedly those who post here do so 99% of the time to complain. I mean look at the first 5 pages has been nothing but crying over literally EVERYTHING that’s been done this expansion from the voice actors to a zig instead of a zag on a microscopic detail on a character that has to be zoomed into ridiculous proportions to even see, to wahhhhh the game hurts my eyes, the tilt of a mount makes me sick, my identity was stolen because my character looks slightly different and so I’m going to sob and cry for hours over it.
So yeah this forum is NOT representative of the majority by any stretch most people are playing and enjoying the game marveling how much prettier everything is and laughing when people mention the healer strike or complaints about the graphics
a strike that does not affect anything is not really a strike

So let's say SE adds a new DPS ability/button for the healers. Then in your case it'll be spamming 123123112233112 lol. So I'm not sure what is the difference is. Unless you are asking SE to add like 10 different DPS buttons plus healing abilities. If that's the cast the healer will actually be a dps. Also back in SB, scholar wasn't healing at all, they were just spamming broil and DoT while the fairy was healing. I don't know about you, but the old scholar in SB seemed boring as hell.Because I want to play final fantasy XIV. And no, healers are engaged the first time doing a given piece of content. Once you know when damage is going to happen you’re back to spamming 12111111111111. The only exception is when you’re in a group with people who are really bad at the game.
My fun as a healer shouldn’t be restricted to day 1, progression, or when in groups with exceptionally bad players. Healers should be fun no matter what.

People really didn't get the entire idea of this strike lmao.
Im not even involved but it was super clear that it was just healer mains tired of their role being bad and moving on. The social media brainrot is insane and this community is so fake nice it's unreal lmfao.
By the way I'm right. Healer mains for years leaving will effect the quality of healers in PF, didn't say there won't be any healers in PF. All I said was the fact that if a bunch of healer mains who have played it for years stop playing it we will lose out on healers of that quality in PF.

You've written a lot of statement describing how healing "seems'. Did you actually heal on a SCH in SB, because I did, and first of all, it was not limited to " just spamming broil and DoT while the fairy was healing" and secondly, I found it more enjoyable then since healer changes (in general) since EW in PVE.So let's say SE adds a new DPS ability/button for the healers. Then in your case it'll be spamming 123123112233112 lol. So I'm not sure what is the difference is. Unless you are asking SE to add like 10 different DPS buttons plus healing abilities. That's fair and it's totally your prerogative keep such mindset. But that won't be true for everybody else. Personally to me, gameplay is equally important to the fantasies. That gameplay has existed before. One of the example:

See how different SCH's gameplay is across the last 4 expansions? See how many casts are being relegated to Broils closer to recent expacs because every other damage buttons are being deleted and have its potencies added into Broils as a 'compensation' while also bloating both our kits and nonhealers' with so many free healings?
When we speak of 'rotation/don't want to spam 1 button', we'd like for each healers to have different & varied ways to output their damage that doesn't just come from 1 single button. DOESN'T HAVE to be 123. Just give us ANYTHING to do that's not 1 2 1 1 1 1 1 - The next thing in the list is to spam weave /doze emote every GCD while that DRK soaks the trash pull with their new Excog.
"Outside obvious jokes/sarcasm, I aim to convey my words to the future readers who may come across mine posts. Can I change -your- mind, somehow? Potentially... but that's not why I'm writing. You and I have wrote our piece(s). We don't necessarily need to change each other's mind. But we can change other's."
Go on then, tell people who made graphical update posts, which are prevalent on first page at this section of the forum, that their complaints are subjective opinions and thus don't matter because they aren't shared by the silent majority in gameBlizzard looked at the data and responded appropriately. Shadowlands was an absolute disaster of an xpac that saw their population plummet. Remember the whole "WoW exodus"? EW, meanwhile, had the highest active playerbase to date for FFXIV at every point along the way (even after the "WoW exodus" subsided). SE is also listening to feedback - just feedback from everyone through the myriad data gathering they do rather than selectively listening to the minuscule few of us that post on the forums. Blizzard had a problem they needed to solve. SE has a game still on an upward trajectory.
What's stopping you? or are you doing this because it's convenient for you to pull out majority card yet again
