When did you start playing, out of interest? Are you a healer main? Only asking because if you're satisfied with the state of healing, there's a chance you're unaware of how much better it was in the past. A lot of the dissatisfaction comes from how healing is now compared to then, and not just healing requirements or dps kits, but altogether. One could argue nostalgia/rose-tints, but unless one has experienced how it used to be, it's hard to pin the outcry on plain nostalgia.
If you're not a healer main, then perhaps your mind has yet to numb to the playstyle. If you are, and you're satisfied, then good for you, I guess :s

I started playing at the end of Shadowbringers (.55 or .58 patch, I'm not exactly sure) but I've done the final savage tier savage tier of SHB (I'll say it wasn't real experience though, I was bad and I had echo) and I've been heal maining since then, not missing out on any content at all. I don't know how it was in the expansions before exactly so I will not try to invalidate any of that. I enjoy playing all healers apart from Scholar which I just find boring as a job.

Healing has remained consistently stale since the start of Shadowbringers - there was loads more depth to the role beforehand, so that's where a lot of the unhappiness stems from. It's fine if you enjoy the role as it is now, you honestly don't know any different, so it may be hard to truly understand just where those of us that're complaining are coming from (I don't mean to sound condescending or dismissive but it reads that way). SCH was never boring before Shadowbringers.

I guess the part I can relate to would be that I miss AST being able to be a shield healer or a pure healer with the 2 different sects. I dislike the direction they took in the Endwalker rework to force them into a specific role, so I will concede that. I will look more into how healers used to be, even if I can't really experience it first-hand.

Longer than that if you play WHM. At least we had more to do pre-Shadowbringers, but WHM has always been the one straggling behind. Instead of buffing WHM in Shadowbringers, they homogenized all the other healers.

Aye yeah, sorry I forgot. I was sad to see a lot of WHMs unique abilities get cannibalized into the role system. I loved the aesthetic; Divine Seal, Largesse, Shroud of Saints... (hmm Shroud of Saints aka Seraphism??)
