Is a feedback forum not an appropriate place to say “I preferred it how it was and, having given this version a chance, will not be picking it up again.”?

No one's demanding anyone quit? It quite literally is written in the first post that there is no pressure to join, people are joining because they also are sick of playing healer. They probably consider it selfish because the thread is attention-seeking and encouraging others to quit as well to create a bargaining chip to get what the dissatisfied posters want.
if others want to quit healing because they're unhappy, they will. There's no need for anyone to tell them to do it.
Again, what's the problem?
This isn't just giving feedback. This is threatneing a 'strike' that has no backbone to it. AT THE SAME TIME THEY ARE ADDING TWO DPS JOBS THAT WILL MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO EVEN TELL HOW MUCH OF AN IMPACT YOUR 'STRIKE' IS HAVING.' Even IF it managed to make some waves in duty finder queues viper and pictomancer are going to skew these for the first days of the expansion. And gamers do not have the discipline to keep this up long term. The strike itself is a joke.no it really isn't unserious. some changes have been made because of complaints over the entirety of the game, even though those who were complaining didn't unsub. if people here wants to stop playing healer then let them be ? there's litteraly no point into saying that it's not gonna affect anything because you don't know and we don't know either. it's very likely that it's going to be the case but some people are simply quiting healing, some are quiting because they want a chance of being acknowledge over an issue that has been there for years, even if there's a very low chance of it happening. this issue existed outside of these forums for years. saying we're a minority is dumb because they've been listening to loud minorities as well in the past. it isn't selfish either because if i use the same argument, why can't we have more dps spells if other jobs, other roles, are getting more healing and mitigation spells LOL
Also healer jobs are getting some extra dps like sgebaoe dot.

Because this is also about generating discussionThis isn't just giving feedback. This is threatneing a 'strike' that has no backbone to it. There are now 5 media tour YouTubers who’ve made videos on it, my last alliance chat was discussing it, it’s filling the LL chat. People are talking about it and that was the primary goal. Our feedback here is getting ignored and we want to be heard
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
I'm confused... your camp said that us healers "striking" will not be felt but at the same time it will disrupt queue times because of VPR and PCT? Make up your minds already.
are you okay ? did you read my post one page ago...? no one is threatening anyone here. there's extremists everywhere and we are not responsible for people who are making the strike look bad lmao. as i said, there's litteraly no point in having people tell us that our strike is going to fail because no matters what happens in game, we will still be loud until changes are made. and also ! a dps spell locked behind a 2 minutes cooldown is nice to have but it's not gonna change anything and if you think it does then i suggest you to pick up healers in all types of content for a while~This isn't just giving feedback. This is threatneing a 'strike' that has no backbone to it. AT THE SAME TIME THEY ARE ADDING TWO DPS JOBS THAT WILL MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO EVEN TELL HOW MUCH OF AN IMPACT YOUR 'STRIKE' IS HAVING.' Ironically this post is more attention seeking than the actual thread being criticized, you got the attention though gg
Just for reference, I play WoW and the healers in that game (atleast the ones I play) do have an actual rotation. I would probably not enjoy healing as much if they didn't. That being said, the "full damage" rotation is usually only used on casual content. As you start going into harder content you spend more time healing and less time doing the damage rotation. For all the people recently who say that "it's not that healer needs more damage options, it's that there's not enough damage going out", I have to ask you all.....
What do you do when there's nothing to heal? Do you keep up your damage? If so, do you not find your 2111111111112111111..... rotation boring?
There is actually zero possible way to make it so there's no downtime in this game. You can attempt to shorten the downtime, but you also have to keep in mind that the shorter the downtime becomes, the less time you also have to recover mistakes. This would undoubtedly raise the skill floor and would thus be not considered for regular dungeon content.
A solution should target all levels of play, it shouldn't be a half solution that cannot be applied to the content where healers are currently suffering an identity crisis the most.
I just have a question for the healers: Is this just a problem in casual content, or is this something you see in Savage or Extreme Trials, for example?

As we have said and given mountain of feedback on this issue pervades literally every facet of healer gameplay at every level for different reasons we have laid out hundreds of timesJust for reference, I play WoW and the healers in that game (atleast the ones I play) do have an actual rotation.
