Do you speak Japanese? I get the feeling you don't, but I do, and I'm stating what I heard with my own ears and what I read within the game. Many others who understand Japanese have said the same exact thing. There is even a post on reddit translating the entire thing and comparing the dialogue. Your entire argument is literally voided. I expect variations when a language is being translated. That cannot be helped, especially given the complexity of both the English and Japanese language, but there is a massive difference between variations made in translating compared to just not being there at all, which is very common in this game, and was blatantly obvious with Midgardsormr. Why this simple fact is so hard for you to understand is beyond me.

In the end, I'm not even entirely sure what you are hoping to accomplish with your pointless tirades. The person your complaint should be directed towards, Koji Fox, is the second in command of lore development for the series beneath Oda. To suggest the changes he makes are errors born of ignorance of the source material is a rather foolish position to take.

How can they be different if they were never translated. This is what you're not getting. Its the simple fact that parts of the script were completely left out, and in some cases completely altered to the point that it doesn't even match the original. At that point you can't even call it a translation.

Everything in the Japanese script can be inferred from the English script. That reddit post has inconsistencies because of the way the post was arranged. People just complained about it because they didn't really give a look through and just stared at two different scripts that were arranged differently.

once again we are not complaining to get it removed or changed, we are simply asking for something granted that we aren't expecting this to be done in "now" but obviously over time that would allow us to switch over to a different dialect and you can still use your same speak.

You mean the English we normally speak in every day life?

There are a lot of different kinds. What they're telling you is to change the script and present it to the discussion. Something like what this guy did, but your own version of how they would say it. Nobody seems to have done it, so it would be wise to make a script of your own.

Not against having options, but if you would be so kind as to actually translate the Midgardsormr speech into the Hildibrand speech, that would be lovely. I don't have access to the game at the moment. To reiterate, they're telling you to change the script the way you want it to be seen and post it here so that we have an example to go on rather then being told to look at something else.

The English translation isn't an exact, word for word, but it doesn't leave out anything important either. I get the feeling that you probably know just enough Japanese to be dangerous. The main issue I noticed with the reddit link is that whoever translated it was doing so line for line and wasn't taking into account that Japanese sentence order is reversed compared to English. A lot of the complaints about them not matching up were silly since the info was included in a different "line".

Suffice it to say, the English translation provides all the information, just expressed differently than the literal translation.

I lived in Japan for several years. Its safe to say I'm pretty fluent in the language. That said, no the english translation did not provide enough information. Its not even a matter of being expressed differently. The way it was translated in english isn't even coherent to the story. Thank goodness I play in Japanese audio.
