No one said we wanted Ghetto speak although it would be hilarious but that quite possibly could come off as a bit racist Assuming thats how I or others speak. If thats how you or people around you talk then...I don't know.

As an Englishman i can say leave it how it is, enough of the American voice acting in fantasy games, English accents suit this type of game much more, Elves talking with American accents etc is just wrong imo. and OMG i can't remember which mmo it was, Archeage maybe when that knight spoke like a redneck URGH...

we are not requesting it be changed but for players that do not like the current language to have a different more simple option. this way both sides would be happy and it doesn't affect either players that are so in love with the current talk vs the players who just don't like it

People harping on about "missing" information and completely ignoring people explaining that you actually have to think and use that big ol' brain of yours amg to get the same information that is flat out stated in the JPN client. Reading comprehension. It's a thing. I'd like to think that even the stupidest person playing FF can manage to glean from context clues this precious lost-in-translation (hah) information. But apparently not.

People complaining that the text is too hard to read. It's really not difficult to understand. I've never once had to stop and look again at what a sentence means, it's really not so different from the English we speak today. And don't pull the E2L speakers into this because I know several from many different countries of varying ages and English proficiency (yay for EU servers!) and not one of them has ever expressed an issue with the English text.

This isn't a fluency issue. It's a laziness/lack of knowledge issue. I think.
As I genuinely struggle to understand how someone can find the words used in FF difficult, it's not easy for me to see where the problem actually lies. Can one of you please explain? All I'm seeing is "it gives me headaches" or "it's just annoying". Why? This is the kind of stuff an 11-year-old could read. Why is it so hard? Is it because you don't see it all the time? You have to understand that by asking for this you're coming across as stupid, lazy or both. You'll likely get more positive reactions if you can actually explain why you think this is necessary without just saying you think the text sucks.

Because I don't like it. I like to relax and play a game. Just enjoy the story how I want it to be told, how it was told in its original way because of years of gaming and life I never needed to use this language other than a few years in school that I Dreaded. Never liked shakes spear or any of the old talk, it bored me and I'd rather have the story straight out told me instead of Old ye English. My reason is its boring. Not everyone will like what someone else will like whats so hard to understand about that? We all have different view. We all see things different and read them different and what we prefer to. Is that wrong? I have said numerous times and its kinda pretty easy to catch up on...I just don't like this type of English. If you do more power to you. i work 60 hrs a week and I just want to be able to relax and enjoy my games preferably how I normally do.

I also dislike talking to customer service when they have a very bad accent. Nothing against that person. I will normally bear with that individual as more than likely I won't need to talk to them any time soon but in a game, reading a Language to me is about the same way as an over seas Customer Service help line. Something I just don't want to deal with.

Stories don't need to be in a different dialect or foreign language, to require you to think. Normally a well told Plot Can be all you need.

this is completely your opinion, please stop telling other people what isn't hard for you to understand/read isn't hard for others Completely your opinion and you don't speak for everyone

from what I see right now is the only ones against us having another option is the people wanting to dictate how we read the text in the game?

Its the simple fact that parts of the script were completely left out, and in some cases completely altered to the point that it doesn't even match the original.

Everything in the Japanese script can be inferred from the English script. That reddit post has inconsistencies because of the way the post was arranged. People just complained about it because they didn't really give a look through and just stared at two different scripts that were arranged differently.
