Those all convey the same idea, but in a more respectful way. It's a matter of treating the other person like... well, a person. Asking nicely is more likely to get you a positive response than treating someone like they're there to serve you.

I do completely agree with you on this point. You will always catch more flies with honey, but even still, we don't know the true tone of how he was saying it (or if that is truly how it happened at all).

None of us are perfect, and we all have our off-days where we just take things wrong and and react poorly. I guess the difference with me is that had I acted like the OP, I would have been horribly embarrassed by my behavior, and there is absolutely no way I would have come onto the forums to complain about it. But instead they come on here trying to garner support for their bad behavior, and are still taking no responsibility in how it turned out.

Someone else's bad attitude does not excuse your own.
