Game is not very social to me wether in a FC or not

Well the FC I'm in used to be pretty social, but the past few months been really quiet. I've even have said random stuff at times some days, but that's really all I ever see in that chat channel. Ther's one group that does coil together, but outside of that its everyone for themselves.

Just ran arum vale today. The run went very smooth, finished it without any problems. The thing is no one said anything other than at the very beginning when I lost hate on the first frog. That was asking why was the blm getting hate. Other than that nothing at all. I just had a slow start tanking.

I feel like I'm playing a single player game, but I'm paying monthly to play online with other people. Why does this game yet fun, seem so empty.

Maybe there are FC's on my server that are very social and does stuff outside of coil like Beach parties, hanging out at FC house, just random events that the whole FC can be a part of. IDK I guss I could look, but been part of 3 FC's so far and the've all been the same. Statics for Coil, or everyone for themselves.

I feel the same way, even on Balmung. My FC only has about 6 people online max at any given time, and when they are on, with the exception of a couple of people I feel like I'm completely ignored.

I'm not too concerned with people chatting in dungeons though. The fact that you probably won't ever see them again and SE designed things to not allow you to communicate cross server sort of discourages people from bothering talking there.

I know your pain though :/ it sucks

i'm quiet in dungeons too, generally because i play on a controller, and taking time to speak means stopping what i'm doing entirely for a moment. Which is bad when you're in a fast paced group.

Other than Coil, there's nothing much left to do before the expansion so I'm guessing less people are on? I recently joined a raiding FC so there's usually always people around.

As for random people in a dungeon? You'll never see them again so saying "Hello" is courteous, but anything more is unnecessary.

MMOs were a lot more social before cross server dungeon/duty/raid/whatever finders were introduced.

Now you can be an anti-social jerk and get away with it. It used to be in MMOs you had to you know... talk to people if you wanted to do anything.

My guild is very active. There are times it's quiet on guild chat, but we are active on our TS3. I have my LS. I never feel alone. Some times I can't keep up with their conversations

I'm in like four different linkshells and a fairly active and vocal FC to the point where sometimes it's hard to keep up.

The social aspect is out there, but I will say, it won't just come to you. You have to go to it.

I'm very social in my FC and my LS', but I generally don't speak in dungeons. I'm not there to waste time chatting, I'm there to get stuff done.
