Well, i do not see how tanks are percieved as squishy, but it is what it is, i guess.

Exactly, and that was my point. The clear tell for me that Square received more feedback that tanks were too squishy was them giving further damage migitation to tanks, which was the exact opposite of what was asked in this thread (removing tank damage migitation.) I do not believe that tanks are too squishy but nor do I believe they need their tank migitation removed. But I also know that I don't have a full picture on tanks since my highest tank is a 84 Gunblade. Hence why I refrained from giving a personal opinion on current tank migitation and focused more on my theory behind Square's motive. Ultimately my personal beliefs don't matter to moving the needle with Square if it's not the viewpoint of the majority of players providing feedback.

That's also what I wanted to get across to the previous poster, was the perceived notion of a grandiose number due to this thread having over 500 pages. Had the feedback been as high as some think, Square would not have went the direction that they did. Besides, 540 pages means very little outside of the fact that this is a very lively conversation. It surely doesn't mean that everyone in this thread supports all of the notions the Op presented cause I definitely don't and I'm adding to the page count. A better way to judge is to see how many people liked the Ops original post. That is a much better guage in determining who supports the message. Right now it sits at 368 people. This may seem like a lot, but according to mmo population, the daily player count for FFXIV as a whole sits at around 257,000 people.

That means at this moment, around 0.001% of the current playing demographic shares the same ideology as the OP. So the poster claiming 500 pages as evident of a large gaming bloc of FFXIV fell victim to being in an echo chamber and assuming this viewpoint had a much larger presence then what it actually is. And the key highlight of that is Square moving in the exact opposite direction that was asked via the Op (well specifically referring to the granting of additional tank migitation by Square vs the requested removal of tank migitation posted by the Op)

tbh while that change didnt hit me at all but due to the sch nostalgia the dev team did critical damage to all those vet sch healers that had miasma 2 which i believe that is the major reason for his and others souls being hit by a truck.
at this point that is just vicious from the dev team at this point regardless if it was not on purpose.

No, because I'm not the one trying to claim that my viewpoint references the player base as a whole, and that's the entire point of it. Unlike some, I know that my opinion is just that. My opinion. People are assuming that due to the interactions on this thread, that this must represent a large portion of the demographic, which we can clearly see does not reflect the actuality at all.

Not true. The purpose of the claim was to debuke the idea that somehow this thread being over 500 pages must somehow represent a large portion of the the gaming demographic. Thus pinpointing the fact that 360 people liking the post out of a 257k daily player audience clearly indicates there is no way to say that for certain. Judging by this thread alone (which again was also the parameters used to support a larger viewpoint due to it's 500 page length), we have 0.001% of the audience supporting said ideology.

Any attempts at pinpointing my topic as indicating the audience as a whole is shifting the message, especially since this thread would largely be representative of those falling within the 367 people that supports the OP's message and would thus like such messages that supports that particular biases.

Don't bother Kira, those striking are absolutely 10000% convinced their views are the majority view of the player base that plays heals that they certainly don't listen when healer mains like myself say otherwise. They also seem to think that the echo chamber that is the overall dumpster fire of these forums represents the whole sum total majority view of the playerbase when MOST players never step foot in here and it only tends to be the loudest complainers that post feedback.

Even if it was true that the "Majority" of people are okay with healers, literally any election ever has proven why trusting the majority to make an intelligent decision about things that affect them is often a bad idea. That's also ignoring just how many people have given up and just stopped playing XIV in general because of how trash the healers are. They're not going to be here talking about the game. They're busy actually enjoying literally anything else that doesn't make them depressed.
