So sticking to the specifics, do I believe that more people view that tanks are more squishy, hence the addition to tank migration in comparison to the opposite viewpoint here? Yes, that is what I do believe.

Also if you want an example of a truly squishy tank, try BLU Tank, base caster HP, while also at the same time missing the whole weapon worth of VIT. And while they do have 20% max HP upkeep buff, it's still calculated from that same caster HP minus weapon worth of VIT.

You're misunderstanding the statement made. Nowhere did I say "I believe that Tanks are too Squishy." I said "I believe more people view that tanks are too squishy." Hence Square listening to that feedback and beefing up Tanks Damage Migitation, which is the exact opposite of what was asked in this thread. The purpose of the statement wasn't to point to my personal belief on particular matter on Tanks damage migitation, but my belief on why Square went the direction that they did in Dawntrail.

Exactly, and that was my point. The clear tell for me that Square received more feedback that tanks were too squishy was them giving further damage migitation to tanks, which was the exact opposite of what was asked in this thread (removing tank damage migitation.) I do not believe that tanks are too squishy but nor do I believe they need their tank migitation removed. But I also know that I don't have a full picture on tanks since my highest tank is a 84 Gunblade. Hence why I refrained from giving a personal opinion on current tank migitation and focused more on my theory behind Square's motive. Ultimately my personal beliefs don't matter to moving the needle with Square if it's not the viewpoint of the majority of players providing feedback.

That's also what I wanted to get across to the previous poster, was the perceived notion of a grandiose number due to this thread having over 500 pages. Had the feedback been as high as some think, Square would not have went the direction that they did. Besides, 540 pages means very little outside of the fact that this is a very lively conversation. It surely doesn't mean that everyone in this thread supports all of the notions the Op presented cause I definitely don't and I'm adding to the page count. A better way to judge is to see how many people liked the Ops original post. That is a much better guage in determining who supports the message. Right now it sits at 368 people. This may seem like a lot, but according to mmo population, the daily player count for FFXIV as a whole sits at around 257,000 people.

That means at this moment, around 0.001% of the current playing demographic shares the same ideology as the OP. So the poster claiming 500 pages as evident of a large gaming bloc of FFXIV fell victim to being in an echo chamber and assuming this viewpoint had a much larger presence then what it actually is. And the key highlight of that is Square moving in the exact opposite direction that was asked via the Op (well specifically referring to the granting of additional tank migitation by Square vs the requested removal of tank migitation posted by the Op)

No, because I'm not the one trying to claim that my viewpoint references the player base as a whole, and that's the entire point of it. Unlike some, I know that my opinion is just that. My opinion. People are assuming that due to the interactions on this thread, that this must represent a large portion of the demographic, which we can clearly see does not reflect the actuality at all.
