I had a tank that got up to seven vuln stacks in a dungeon earlier but I was still able to keep them alive with minimal effort, even through the busters.
I feel like the bosses could be a touch rougher on them if that's allowed to be the case.

Meanwhile the dungeon bosses are still difficult enough to where if you're a dps or healer you're not able to survive getting hit by 2 AoEs at once without mitigation, hell, 4th dungeon 3rd boss literally one shot me for failing another mechanic after I got 2 vuln stacks.
Mind you, I'm not asking for a nerf to the boss damage, but jesus, why do tanks get baby mode mechanics while everyone else has to actually respect them? Doubly so because if the healer dies they can just solo the boss in its entirety (Unless you're DRK/maybe GNB)
Watching forum drama be like

Genuinely when I play tank I just ignore the mechanics in casual contentMeanwhile the dungeon bosses are still difficult enough to where if you're a dps or healer you're not able to survive getting hit by 2 AoEs at once without mitigation, hell, 4th dungeon 3rd boss literally one shot me for failing another mechanic after I got 2 vuln stacks.

They can’t hurt me so why should I care
It’s so stupid how little damage tanks take from mechanics in this game especially considering the things that should hurt them (autos and Tb’s) also barely do any damage
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

The second boss in the 97 dungeon, when it puts up those fences and does the rotating aoe, I just ran through it the opposite way it was going, vuln stacks up to 4 almost instantly, still had half my life and didn't care about anything else for the rest of the fight. It was funny and sad all at the same time.Genuinely when I play tank I just ignore the mechanics in casual content

So at what point are we supposed to feel the impact of this strike exactly? Early access is over and we're into the 'official' launch and it's still no different than any other expansion launch when it comes to queue times between roles. When can we expect to see the results of this 'strike' in action?
Unless you neglected to identify yourself as the representative of a group, that must be the royal "we".So at what point are we supposed to feel the impact of this strike exactly? And the answer is- Never
It's not about you. It never was.
And I know this will be a bitter pill to swallow, but you will not be the one to decide the success or failure of this effort.
Given the systemic damage done to the balance over the years, it will take significant time and effort to solve the legitimate issues raised by this discussion. Healers may be the most vocal right now, but they are certainly not the only ones who are unhappy.
Whether or not SE will make the choice to do that work remains to be seen.
WHM
AST
BLM
...let's all just go play WAR, shall we?
? Are the only strikes youre aware of only in reference to ones with drastic /actively visible and immediate outcomes? Plenty of strikes happen with the knoweldge nothing immediately will change, but are still done none the less more with the intent to bring awareness to something. So at what point are we supposed to feel the impact of this strike exactly? Thats what a strike is, to voice a opinion of something from a collection of people who generally have the refusal/reluctance to do something (in this case healing).
Alot of the "action" in this strike is really "I (this minority of players) will not be playing healers going forward because the job designs of other classes are simply more fun/engaging/better balanced within the trifecta and will play those instead while voicing my disappointment with the current state of healers in the meantime while hoping it improves(or unsub until it does.)"
Noy trying to be mean but this comment just sounds so.... ????

We as in the playerbase at large. People playing the game. Get out of here with this nonsense you know what i meant. The strike was initially supposed to affect queue times. Then it slid down into 'affect the behind the scenes metrics.' Now people are celebrating because 'people are talking about it.'
The goal posts have shifted so much they can claim this strike was a success regardless of whether it actually happens. Even regardless of if there is even an actual tangible strike and not just a few anecdotes of people dropping healer! They get to just say the win no matter what, regardless of if any changes actually happen.
That is not a strike. That's just giving feedback on the forums. Calling it a strike is dramatic clickbait nonsense and deserves to be called out when there's no actual tangible strike. Strikes are disruptive. This is just another long lasting thread like the viera hat one, except they didn't call theirs a 'strike.'
Strikes don't always have immediate results but they are by nature disruptive. This isn't, and that's the point. This isn't a strike. It lacks the disruption, the scale to actually affect anything. It's only called a strike because that's a nice attention grabbing headline but in execution it's not. And conveniently, they get to claim 'victory' because people talked about it, even though there's been no mention of changes, much of people talking about it are mocking them, and their strike has failed to even be a blip on the radar of the average person playing the game.
If they managed to actually turn this into a real strike, or just made this 'healer feedback thread' that'd be one thing, but if they're going to call it a strike and, predictably, fail to back that up the whole idea is going to get well deserved mockery from outside the echo chamber here.
This is no more a strike than you and your 4 friends not shopping at <Big Store Name> is not a 'boycott' in any meaningful way.

This has been in the opening post since I read it weeks ago: "This strike is a protest. As such, it is not intended to disrupt the game or the players who have subscribed to FFXIV."
Complaining the strike isn't disruptive enough, is completely missing the point.
