You cannot just add a race because people liked it in 2013; that's not how real organizations work.

The good news for (male) Viera and (female) Hrothgar is that their opposite genders already went through this process so the XIV group knows it would most likely be approved. They however would still need show analytics and fan support for it.

I don't know what kind of companies you have worked with and at what levels but you cannot make product changes on your own just because you feel like it. Bangaa and any new race would have to run around so many hurdles (analytics, research, marketing impact, franchise direction considerations, etc) that they would never be added; as opposed to the missing genders of Viera and Hrothgar. Why do you think he said outright "no" to a new race after Viera and Hrothgar but didn't say a definitive no to male Viera and female Hrothgar.
Feel free to show me where it was stated he said Outright No to new races.
Because I can tell you he said "likely" these would be the last new races. Which means, just like the "Missing Genders" it's always a possibility.
And it's not because of this marketing and analytics you spout on about.
Going by that logic, explain to me why we didn't get Viera back in Heavensward, where it was talked about, and they have concept art for it dating back to when HW was in development. If this marketing jargon is this all powerful thing that dictates what gets added to the game, why did we get the Au-Ra instead, if "marketing" "research" and blah-blah-blah dictated people wanted and requested Viera? Wouldn't that mean it would have been in the companies best interest to put them in, that this marketing and research all triangulated to Add Viera?
Getting Au-Ra is the opposite result.
So I'll believe YoshiP over your Jargon that he and his team decided: with backing of course, that they wanted to do something new at the time.
