The reason why tanks are so rare is because DPS players are vile, toxic, detestable wastes of human flesh in runs with the sole intent of making life miserable just because they want their precious parse score to go up.

lol tell that to the tanks who pull 1 group or worse...1 mob when they clearly can do more and have 2 aoe dps jobs, but don't because "naw, we are good, I don't feel like pulling more" or "I'm the tank, deal with it or leave", heck I've even had tanks tell me not to use bane because they don't want to have to focus on more than one mob.

Also had a tank that would literally sit in between pulls today, just sit, not do anything. So the mnk starting pulling and tanking, tank got super mad, told me to stop healing him. Guess what, I kept healing, mnk did wonderfully and outside the tank whining constantly because we wouldn't wait 2 full minutes in between pulls for him since he was the tank so its his way or no way, it was quite pleasant.

Some tanks get quite an ego and demand subservience and that doesn't fly in an mmo. It should be the groups pace not the one persons.

The belief that dps are toxic and tanks are innocent and beautiful ppl abused by those horrible horrible dps is just hilarious.

More seriously, I leveled a tank and I really wanted to switch my main class from DPS to Tank. But... it never really happened. I'm so afraid of doing things with that mostly toxic community that I just stick to my DPS...
