    Gunbreaker starting level

Is it just me or does this seem like a really bad idea?
The thought of giving a player who has never ever tanked a free lvl 60 tank is a really grim.
Its going to be hell for new players who get stuck with them while trying to progress in duty finder and we'll likely see a lot of ping pong agro between dps on jobs they already know how to play and the scrub Gunbreaker hitting random buttons.

It's going to be like what happenee with Dark but 100 times worse.

They should have Gunbreaker starting level at level 30.People need to learn how to tank.Dont throw them in the deep end.

I think level 50 base like SAM/RDM would've been better.

I agree. SAM/RDM unlocking at level 50 made a lot of sense to me, because one could easily go into post-ARR (2.x) with it, straight into HW. The transition seemed really smooth. If they design Gunbreaker in the same manner, where you can unlock it at level 50 or after completing ARR’s main expansion, it seems a bit illogical to make it level 60 when you still have to go through 2.x and HW’s main expansion.
I’m really hoping they don’t do something really dumb and force you be level 60 or to complete the main scenario quest “Heavensward” to unlock it.

They could just do it like RDM/SAM. They were SB’s new jobs, but they still started at 50 and people could do 2.x and HW on them into SB. I don’t see why the ShB jobs should be too terribly different. It’s not like EXP is hard to come by in this game.

Especially as a tank, as queues are non-existent for them.

And I rather have them get a bunch of levels first to get to know the job before they delve into the current content.

    Normally, yes.

When a huge amount of players are trying to level gunbreaker at once? Probably not. At least for a brief period.

    It'll always balance back out.

Release a healer and tank job in a expansion and after three weeks and they are back being the Adventurer in Need on roulettes.

Having a level 60 job is stated as being one of the two requirements to unlock gunbreaker, the other being to purchase Shadowbringers. Those are the only two requirements and the job is unlocked in Gridania. There is no mention of MSQ/Heavensward, although if you have a level 60 job, you might as well finish MSQ up to 3.0 at least, unless you use a boost.

And it makes sense to already have a level 60 job because they're not going to let you "skip" levels by unlocking a new job.

    It requires
    1. Shadowbringers registered
    2. Level 60
    3. No MSQ requirement unless you start in Limsa Lominsa (need Envoy to leave Vyllbrand)

This is consistent treatment to RDM/SAM: requires (old cap - 10) and begins at the same; and requires 10 levels of catch up to be eligible for new MSQ.

This is great. It means you can play to 60, then switch immediately to the job you want to play, without being chained to story progress. For people who level later, they could be Lv60 well before they reach the final battle of 3.0. This way, they can finish up the 3.0 story on the job they actually want to play and get experience on that job instead of something else. On the other side, people who have been 70 for two years will only need to spend five or so hours leveling from 60 to 70 to catch up with the story before moving on as their new main.

Alternately, the starting level for all new jobs (consistent since the first additions in Heavensward) is "the previous game's starting level".

Jobs started at Lv30 in ARR, and so did the new jobs in Heavensward.

Heavensward gameplay + Stormblood jobs start at Lv50.

Stormblood gameplay + Shadowbringers jobs start at Lv60.
