Hi, Math time.
I noticed a few of you guys were using my 0.0000724 scale factor for Skillspeeds affect on DoTs. I just want to reiterate, that scale only works on the Dragoon due to how the model works and generally speaking, potency... How could I put it in nice terms, is inconsistent. 30 Potency, I've noticed, isn't 30 Potency, but closer to 29.7 (so 29.7/100*dmg). My model still does 30/100, so it overestimates the actual base damage calculation slightly. Because of this, my solver scales Skillspeed much less for DoT damage than it should be.
The actual calculation is closer to ((Skillspeed-354)/7722, or, 0.0001295, from which I can draw few conclusions:
A) 0.000377358/3 = 0.000125786 (or 1/3 of the scaling of Skill/Spellspeed on GCD/Casts)
B) Roughly 0.0000075 less than Determination, per point.
C) For Summoners, that is actually scary.
As for common misconceptions about Determination "weights"
A) No, just because you're not Auto-Attacking, it doesn't justdevalue Determination. It devalues everything. If we assume Auto-Attacks are 10% of a Scholars overall DPS and we take that away, then every stat, excluding Spellspeed, is being devalued by 10%.
B) Changes in weights due to a lack of AA's. So if s "AP" (This is both STR and Int) is 100, and Determination is 13 for arguments sake (numbers out of bottom):
13/100 = 0.13 (This is the relative APET weight)
13/1.1 = 11.818
100/1.1 = 90.909
11.818/90.909 = 0.129 (rounding issues etc)
It doesn't work exactly like this (especially for the summoner), but you should get the rough idea how a lack of Auto-Attacks affects the values of stuff.
It's looking more and more likely, it really is CTR > SS > DET for a Summoner. Klorex also PM'd me a few parses and I have Summoner data coming in, so this week I think I'll start work on it if I get time, as I'm still collecting more Skillspeed Data.
