Dragoon's ilvl330 weapon.

I assume alot of people are getting their weapon either this week or next.
The Dragoon's ilvl330 weapon has the worst possible combination of 268ss and 188det.
Currently I'm sitting at 886 skill speed and 2.42gcd. I feel very comfortable lining up the second blood for blood with life of dragon at this skill speed. Do you guys think I should keep going with the crafted 320 or get the 330 next week?

If the crafted 320 is better then I'll get something this week, wait til o3 drops me the upgrade item then I'll buy the 330 weapon to go 340 straight.

The weapon will always be an upgrade, but it's not the best kinda upgrade. If you want more dps get it, otherwise don't.

If you are doing O4S the bump to WD, STR, and VIT are extremely helpful. Substats are fine for min/maxing, but remember a couple things; first we don't know how good or bad SS is yet. Second, the effect of any substats this early in an expansion is going to be minor.

Actually to piggy back this, if your group IS clearing O4S soon and you don't need the extra dps/vit, don't get it as you will be able to get a genji weapon soon. Sorry if this is too late >.<

Blm weapons are the same.
They really messed up even on Susano weapons, giving Red Mage the best stat of blm which is Spell Speed, and giving blm stats that would have been better for Red. The tome weapon which you upgrade in Savage is not great for blm either.
I ended up purchasing crafted for my Red.

Are they even testing with people that know the jobs i wonder, or just adding whatever stats they feel like... sigh

This is generally how it is when it comes to raid gear, though they do make it so that items of the same ilvl tier do not share the same stat breakdowns (high ss/low crit, for example), though weapon damage typically wins out in the end anyway. Worse case of this would've been way back in heavensward when the thordan weapoins for MCH/BRD had the same weapon damage as the gordian ones despite the latter being higher ilvl.

The WHM i330 has 188 crit and 268 piety. So, yeah. There will likely be a set of comparable weapons (340s, I'd imagine) with better stat combos come 4.1, just as many of the crafted 320 weapons had better stat combos than the Susano ones. This is how they keep us busy.

Oh i know weapon damage> other stats but still wonder if they take the time to play the jobs rather then just adding whatever stats which are not even beneficial to said job, lol

Well, they are beneficial to the job. Just not always the best or exactly what you want.

It's not as if they're putting Mind on a melee weapon or something like that.
