Yeah but thousands of Warriors of Light moving in in droves is perfectly fine.. That's my point, lore accuracy in the game is already pretty silly, NPCs all talk to you like you're THE ONE, then there's ANOTHER ONE, and ANOTHER ONE.. To combat RMT, there could be a lv 50 class check for any class.
OMG you're the guy that killed the Sultana!! You need a repair? Sure, that'll be 1000gil.

No one in this game is stopping you from leveling to 60 crafting and gathering and nothing else in this game. You just need to do the MSQs to get the most out of what you're doing. This has always been true, even in more freeform games. Hell some games like WoW put crafting and gathering nodes deep inside dungeons!
See, the thing is.. if crafting in this game was poorly done as others or lacked the depth it has, it wouldn't have made so many people who ONLY craft.. Look at WoW, crafting is so simple in that game, there aren't very many people who only craft in that game. What WoW does have, is the AH players because their AH system is simple yet deep.. It's the game that shapes players behaviors. FF14, with it's amazing crafting game, made some of us fall in love with it and throw MSQ out the window. We felt no restriction in that aspect for a loooong time and we thought everything was peachy. We thought wrong

Empathy is an ability some people don't possess, they see the World only through their own eyes and can't fathom a different one.

Yes, if there's any clarification on where the next NPC for the master books III and IV will be, if they'll be accessible and outside of Ishgard or if Talan will remain as the person, then I have absolutely no problem being gated out of Ishgard other than for sightseeing, which I can do without..
