I'm a perfect example of why you should *want* the veterans healers still playing the role by giving them something they'll actually enjoy, instead of expecting/demanding that non-healer/DPS mains should "role flex" and pick up the slack, because we *will* end up a menace in your queues.

I actually find it weird that people have these 3 facts:

1) A group of long time healers say they will no longer be healing in DF.
2) A group of people who don't really play healers say they will be filling those queues to spite the leaving long time healers.
3) Many people report an increase in bad healers found in DF.

Then they come to the conclusion of "All these bad healers are the healer strikers who are showing that they can't even heal casual content, so the healer role should stay simple."

I think the distance of the leap of logic here would win a gold medal in the Olympics.

Others have reported to me that we had less experienced healers during the beginning of Dawntrail releasing too. I think I already said it before here that I was a bit puzzled hearing from my friends, "Thank God we have an actual healer with us," as I was levelling WHM. One of our DNCs was even saying they had to cover for the lack of heals with Improvisation on one of the levelling dungeons around 95 I believe >.> I will probably just make an exception with friends to queue with like for the map parties (different topic there with low portal rates). So far, I have just been SAM for the Expert roulette. I will try to get the materia from spirit bonds, Expert 4 man chests and hunts for the moment instead of those levelling bribe bags.

I have definitely seen my fair share of bad play on all 3 roles during my time in FF14 and Warcraft. I have had very arrogant players from Warcraft in the past to contend with. Long story short, it has left me with a partial aversion towards solo queuing DF as a tank. The DPS making suicide pulls thinking they don't need anyone, then blaming the tank for their stupidity tended to be the most common reason. Although I have run into other tanks in LFR (easy mode Alliance raid) treating their co-tank like an obstacle or ghost because they wanted to hoard all the aggro / enmity to cash in as the "God of the parse" with the OP Vengeance mech from Mists of Pandaria.

Me personally I find SGE boring because it’s a clone of SCH with an even lower skill floor than SCH already has. It’s kinda flashy I’ll give it that but to me it’s boring because it just plays like a worse; but smoother SCH and I don’t even like modern SCH that much compared to its old iterations

I mean, once you get a group who knows how to avoid all the mechs and you get used to rotating the oGCDs Haima / Panhaima with Kerachole / Taurochole, you will probably be left with really huge DPS downtime. It doesn't sound bad on paper reading your spellbook, but this usually comes out to be huge Dosis / Dyskrasia spam for your GCDs. The DoTs, Phlegma and Toxicon can only do so much to deviate your damage rotation. If the tank does actually need your Diagnosis shields, some of the Dyskrasia spam can be changed to the shield and Toxicon. During Endwalker's end times, the need to use that shield with Toxicon dropped very sharply to high Dyskrasia spam, since it does more damage than Toxicon for mass AoE.

Letting the people who enjoy healing currently continue to enjoy themselves doesn't necessitate leaving the entire healer role in the current state.

Many times already have we listed out why the current state will not lead to a healthy healer role, but instead of looking into why people are upset, I guess it's far easier to just say "you're whining, go play something else lmao".

Exactly. Most people aren't running with statics who memorized all the mechanics and if that makes me shit then whatever. I hate savage because of snap shot aoes and the toxic discord that goes with it. So because of your boring experience every healer needs to strike? Nah. Go play ninja. Don't see enough of em.

I feel the whining has been ignored by the devs for so long because it's ridiculous. You want to be black mages with your healing kit. You signed up as a healer. Heal. If hour static knows everything and you're bored who's fault is that. Play a dps.

I've main tanked for too long and I'm done with it. Instead of striking I found a role a really like. Am I a pro healer? Probably not but I'm working on it. My point is, I'm not making other players in the Game suffer because I hate my jib or role. Now I am benefiting them all because I'm playing a job and role I enjoy. The healer strike isn't effecting the devs, it's negatively impacting your own servers because of your narcissistic mentality. You really think square cares? No. But the tanks and dps waiting 20 min do.
