While overall job design sentiment is really low to the point where people aren't really defending it anymore lately, I'm going to point out that the larger part of the community still treats the healer role concerns as an absolute joke. You'll see someone condemning the VPR change while laughing at healers and telling them to just play something else. It's ridiculous.

If someone complains about the Viper changes and how they don't like them, just tell them to go play something else. Maybe add a note that it's the advice healers get.

The job design team doesn't take feedback properly the fact DT kept the 2 minute CDs is evidence of this. For as much as people argued and disagreed pretty much everyone agreed that the 2 minute meta was awful and people loathed it.
If they took actual feedback this would of been gone in DT.

Imagine the warrior of light movie character trying to look cool in a white mage outfit and healing. Very few can think of that without laughing.

Actually, having a healer on the forefront would be cool. Even if DRK got butchered with Shb.. it was a cool marketing thing atleast?

8.0 should bring in two new Healers, and have the WoL be a healer in the trailer.

Maybe that might motivate them to actually try to figure out how to get people interested in playing the role, instead of trying to tell them to go play Ultimate or telling people who don't want to play healer to just go play it.

The worst part is they have made the healers so “anti masculine” (I’m not criticising gender roles here but honestly can you see meteor wearing a wedding dress and casting flower spells) that I physically cannot imagine meteor ever being a healer

Maybe in like 3.0 when SCH was a tactician poison mage but can you imagine the 8.0 trailer and meteor casts seraphism, it would look like an actual joke and I hate that as a male healer main who plays a males character

So..... more than 900 pages and still no acknoledgement from SE.... While it took only 170 pages (if i remember) to acknoledge that they fumbled some parts of the graphical update.

I think, we can conclude, that now we know their priority and that they don't give a damn about healer. :/

I'll still playhealer, but i don't have high hope for the future of this role.

I think that if the healers are made any more stress-free at this point, then they'll basically play themselves.

Can you imagine SE adding auto play to the game? Might as well just add a cinema mode to the game at that point.

I mean look at the warriors of darkness too Lamitt went from being portrayed as a powerful mage in HW and then became the healer bot gf of Ardbert and the healer role quests basically just made her a Sylphie who loves her big strong warrior boyfriend and wants to heal her village. It's very clear that healers are the girl role, I mean look at other FF games and how many of the girl characters are normally healers.
