I would also have to agree that Physick would be one of the first on the "chopping block". I do understand why Connor has some doubts for it. At the level 50 range, we may actually run into the scenario where we have no Lustrate and we need to chain spam something equivalent to Cure 2. Since Emergency Tactics is also locked too, I have to either sit for maybe 1.5 seconds of Adlos or alternate Physick with Adlos. Of course today, I never run into that scenario for high levels. The tanks have their short cooldowns by then and creating a mega Adlo shield in between for them is just a snap of the finger for even levels 80 - 100. As for the SMN version of Physick, making it upgrade to the Radiant Aegis carbuncle shield seems most logical. Those 1 - 2K crit heals likely won't be missed for level 100 >.>

As for Fey Blessing, that one could be a combo oGCD action with Indomidability to also save space. While we're at it, the same could happen for Lustrate and Aetherpact too. The fairy gauge basically gets powered by using the Aether cooldowns after all, so it might make sense to have the fairy initiate a team combo from them. This could also be an opportunity to save even more space by applying the fairy combo into Sacred Soil, Excogitation or even Energy Drain. The ones I am looking at are Whispering Dawn (Sacred Soil), single target Fey Illumination with a Deployment spreading option (Excogitation) and the returning Bane (Energy Drain). The potencies would have to be adjusted to fit the balancing of the cooldowns of course.

What did you want it to do? The forums are a place to leave feedback. We've gathered and amassed a huge amount of criticism towards healers. It's up to the developers to do something about it.

As for Scholar Kit, I'd remove protraction, physick, and Fey Illumination. I'd make Fey blessing an aoe version of aetherpact. Optional combine of Aetherflow and Energy Drain, Remove Summon Seraph and just have 2 stacks of Consolation on a 1min CD. I'd also probably combine Seraphism and Dissipation.
that's 5 buttons saved with very little loss. but I'd also like a done of other crazy changes not a part of just removing possible bloat.

Also, regardless of the overall sentiment, this has been the thread that has brought issues with the healers the most, Which is kind of a sad thing when there was the yoship comment bout healing ultimate or the megathread that was in the healer forum with all the issues.

While overall job design sentiment is really low to the point where people aren't really defending it anymore lately, I'm going to point out that the larger part of the community still treats the healer role concerns as an absolute joke. You'll see someone condemning the VPR change while laughing at healers and telling them to just play something else. It's ridiculous.

Probably because empathy isn't something the GCBTW is good at practicing lmao.

Much easier to create lol-worthy spreadsheets, fake discord logs, and otherwise demean and denigrate people to earn brownie points with others that think like them than it is to actually engage in good faith discussion.

Welcome to playing healer/support in most multiplayer games. A huge chunk of the playerbase treats you like an NPC heal dispenser and doesn't care about what you think or whether you're having fun. But the moment you speak up and possibly even insinuate that their OP jobs/classes/characters are making your experience less enjoyable, they go into rage mode. Just look at all the salty tank mains who will tell you until the cows come home that their nigh-immortality isn't a problem.

Personally, I took these people's advice. I haven't completely hanged up the healer hat because sometimes FC events need someone to heal and we take turns. Outside of that, I have switched to Physranged and I have found a renewed enjoyment in the game. I don't mind the long queues, there's plenty of stuff to do while waiting for them to pop. It's worth not having to mindlessly spam one button while staring at my other screen for 15 minutes.

So..... more than 900 pages and still no acknoledgement from SE.... While it took only 170 pages (if i remember) to acknoledge that they fumbled some parts of the graphical update.

I think, we can conclude, that now we know their priority and that they don't give a damn about healer. :/

I'll still playhealer, but i don't have high hope for the future of this role.

900 pages of this thread, before most of the healer feedback was centralised because people stopped caring there was also dozens of other 20+ page threads all going over different topics with zero acknowledgment

But they will ruin viper when literally nobody can point to a thread where people complained about it so at this point I think they just do whatever they want then comb through the forums after the fact to find someone to use as a justification scapegoat

That’s simple, healers are not a cool job, we don’t sell games, and will not be the poster character of an expansion either.

Imagine the warrior of light movie character trying to look cool in a white mage outfit and healing. Very few can think of that without laughing.

Healers are second row in priority, we are around because… because… umm… are we still needed to help people play anymore?

I really don’t know anymore myself and that is as a 19,000 hour WHM, playing since 2.0.

Maybe I’ll figure it out, but as things are now, I’m on break, how long, unsure. I’d rather play another game as 95% of my spells cast are DPS and that is not fun for me.
