FFXIV copied a lot from Wow (they admitted so)- Why not copy the healing? Or copy from EQ or EQ 2?
Plenty of other games have more fun healing.... no excuse for the lack of diversity in healing in this game.

I prefer to have fun after the first couple of weeks of doing savage so I don't play healer but what I've seen so far the cycle is unchanged.
Healers have a job during prog and low gear, people get better gear, bosses hit less as hard DPS/tank get into a rhythm of mitigating better, healers heal less, healers have to spam glare.
Nothings really changed.

To be fair they were inspired and played it itensivly for ARR.
After that i somehow doubt they went back to that.
what are you talking about neither m3s or m4s is healing intensive ...
You are correct, after w1 I don't wanna play healer anymore.I prefer to have fun after the first couple of weeks of doing savage so I don't play healer but what I've seen so far the cycle is unchanged.

Also ast being so strong really does not make me want to play healer anymore.
Hey ast you died 3 times but you pressed divination during the correct gcd on burst window here have more damage then me.
Oh I have the 735 weapon and you still have 710, well that doesn't really matter does it.

I know, I am trolling a bit here, since nothing really changed that would impact the healer status quo![]()
I did notice some healers complaining, because they actually have to GCD heal there and there (well, mostly shield), especially if co-healer is weaker.
Which goes back to the same discussion we all had a few hundred pages ago, about how having a role that only "feels better" when everyone else isn't performing well is still crappy design.

@ Xenoviastar
As I said, the blade spell combos, Holy Spirit and Holy Circle also come packaged with a 400 potency cure when they are cast. We can technically still use Holy Spirit and Holy Circle as an instant filler later since the melee combos procs one use afterwards. We are healing ourselves past 90% HP even if we are using Requiescat properly. Hence the confusion here. But since it is about Clemency spam for clarification, sorry about the assumption if you really have no problem with the proper usage. It doesn't even come across my mind to ever use Requiescat on Clemency because we are indirectly Cure spamming ourselves doing it right anyhow.

The only time I'd use Requiescat for Clememecy is around StB levels so I can pull off the enmity from whoever triggers next trash pulls. Works like a charm lmao.
"Outside obvious jokes/sarcasm, I aim to convey my words to the future readers who may come across mine posts. Can I change -your- mind, somehow? Potentially... but that's not why I'm writing. You and I have wrote our piece(s). We don't necessarily need to change each other's mind. But we can change other's."

Well for healers they werent as inspired, Cataclysm healers werent bad persay but healer damage option in WoW cata was not as interesting and engaging as ARR. WoW healing however got better and better each expansion from Cata onwards in terms of adding damage options and healing, its not exactly perfect because WoW class balance is all over the place so some healers are completely shafted.
