sure, thats all well and good, and tanks should only tank and not heal others and dps should only dps and not heal others... and then Dawntrail comes along and you can tank AND dps and aoe heal

I would love it if there was just healing that healers had to do, but... there isnt. and after the shine comes off dawntrail, the actual healing goes down and down even in normal content unless you are running with people that simply are bad at playing.

so. you might want to play the same game as the rest of us since you have been here so long. if there is nothing to heal, what are you going to do? your nails while waiting? no, you'll 2111 like the rest of us and.. big shocker.. ITS NOT CHEESE, or CHEATING... its trying to stay awake.

Imagine holding onto statements from years ago, that they have actually spoken out against more recently, where they talked about the "simpler" healer rotations are for healers to DPS, and that people who refused to can be kicked for, in their own words, "Lethargic Play."

Assize deals damage, Earthly Star deals damage, Macrocosmos deals damage, Pnuema deals damage. Not only do they function as heals, these buttons are painstaking designed by our beloved Square Enix developer.

If you press them, you're cheating.

If you don't press them, you're not playing as what the dev team intended.

Does the contradiction not bother you?

If healer dealing damage is considered cheating and chessing, what do you say to tanks & DPS getting all those heal buttons?

Don't tell him that devs even made so you can verify DPS-CHECK requirements for such content on Stone, Sky, Sea dummies for healer roles as well

Wanting healers to be better is all fine and dandy, I started as a WHM and would love to see a more complex version of it someday, but can grumpy strikers please stop queueing as healers and making everything that much worse for everyone? A) how do you know that the healers you ran with were strikers? (b) did you try to help them help YOU? Calling them a "cretin" here is not going to help.

By the way, when I first started playing as a SCH, I tended to forget to get my fairy out once in a while when I zoned into a dungeon, incidentally it was the tank once who asked me, quite politely, if I had it out. Quite embarrassing, but much appreciated.

first, sorry you experienced that.

second, I doubt the people you get are strikers, as we have generally decided to just stop healing for group content.

I have had Esuna on my bars since I got it at level 10. I even still have Repose and thats as useless as it gets for a skill. If I run SCH, Eos is the first thing I do. I am fed up with their(SE) direction on healers, if I were to do group content, I dont take that out on my fellow players because, I love healing, its why I have been one for so long in every game I play. if I have a job, I do it, plain and simple. level 20 or 100, tank or dps, I am there to keep you up and in the fight.

I have always disliked people who "heal" just for the faster queues. in my mind, they are not healers, they are opportunists, especially if they cannot do the role that they signed up with.

I apologize for the existence of these types, but I REFUSE to take responsibility for them. thats their failure.... not mine, nor, as far as I am aware without knowing who they were, the responsibility of any healers actually participating

Yeah, no. This isn't a striker. This is the kind of healer that SE willingly designs for to attract. What a horrible world we live in.
