Just to correct (an excellent post), but Macrocosmos and Pneuma are GCDs. Otherwise, nailed the explanation of lackluster/not-engaging DPS options that healers have.
For those who don’t understand Healing: they’re damage neutral. They’re not damage spells. Which is why they don’t count as part of a damage rotation. It just ensures the healer isn’t punishing the party’s DPS output for doing some healing. Same with the Lily and Afflatus Misery spell. It’s not meant for damage, but to recoup the damage lost for using your Lily healing.

You do use Phlegma in single target, two are supposed to be used in burst and one is held for movement

I forgot to mention too. Phlegma is actually a high damage Single Target DPS GCD.
So the SGE actually has 3 buttons (Dosis, Eukrasia, Phlegma). However, Phlegma is a 45 sec cooldown though makes it more like Assize, so it’s not exactly a change. Toxikon is damage neutral and serves as a SGE’s mobility tool. You recover it by placing shields on folks during a phase-change when the boss is untargetable.
The new Eukrasia Dyskrasia doesn’t change things much either. You’re still going to be spending your time spamming Dosis, but you’ll now have a 2-1-2-4 (Eukrasia, Dosis, Eukrasia, Dyskrasia) every 30 sec. Which…isn’t that much of an improvement. Eukrasia is actually pretty tedious.
Again, it doesn’t change your main point though. SGE is still just as boring as the other healers, especially since it’s more heavily focused on ogcd healing. If it actually had a DPS rotation while using ogcd heals, it could be interesting, but SE chickened out.

I love 1111111 and planning/excute my OGCD heals properly in Savage, Extreme and even Unreal.
Have u guys try doing that?
And you would still love planning your oGCD heals if your rotation wasn't 1,1,1,1 in savage, extreme, and extreme 1.1 (Unreal). I personally don't find oGCD fun though, have you played Blue Mage, try doing that; then come back here and we can deliberate the issues again.

1: Healers need something to do when they aren't healing, the lousy one button dps experience and occasional second just is not enough.
2: The sustain of the nonhealer jobs has taken our job from us...which has left us nothing to do besides our lousy one button dps experience.
3: We do not need most of the healing buttons...a lot of those buttons can straight up be removed or consolidated. Which would be a good thing to consolidate using the new sys.
4: Pure & Shield means nothing and having any combination of the two is just overkill.
Have you tried healing a pug in EW trial 2 normal and planning? Maybe a few synced ex? It's not about that, it's about the homogenised kits.
ASTs maleficent used to be 1.5sec, whm glare 2.5sec now they are the same..?
Something to consider regarding healers being unnecessary is that we are approaching a new expansion where many people in this very thread and the rest of the game will encounter the time wasting tank effect at some point or another. The fact it's observable and the team has done nothing about this behavior is pretty incredible when you think about it.
With new content you're more likely to play with a broader range of players and experience more mistakes/wipes is what I mean. But it only takes a moderately aware unbalanced job to mitigate and sustain you to victory by themselves.
And the problem may get worse with time.
