Can't wait for 8.0 to drop and healers are given 5 heals, no DoTs, their spammable single target be instant cast and otherwise the exact same, and their AoE dmg to have heals attached to it and cost 0 MP. Look forward to it :3
I will die inside if this is what SE does

Everyone's so trusting of the 8.0 job identity rework, but what exactly does the dev team view as the job identity of all the healers? Can't wait for 8.0 to drop and healers are given 5 heals, no DoTs, their spammable single target be instant cast and otherwise the exact same, and their AoE dmg to have heals attached to it and cost 0 MP. I think that question is an important one that we need the answer to.

All I can say is the dev team have made changes to how they think healers should be from a dps player perspective. They literally fired a healer for being "too good". I do not trust the 8.0 rework. I will not trust it until they hire healers who have completed a host of content, healers who are casual, and healers who prog ultimates. I do not trust the 8.0 rework until they show good QoL changes for healers in upcoming patches. Until then they will likely continue to mess it up. "go play ultimate" they say as they have no healer on team who has played ultimate. "please give healer a try" as none of them play healer.
I love the men in this game
I finally return to the game! Current goal: getting all my jobs to 90
apparently there are healer queueing as healer but then dont heal the tank (yeah, some random tanks, they dont care if its a sprout). and then when the tank dies they write something about healer strike.

#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE

If someone is doing that, report them. It has been said countless times both here and on the Discord that people should not do that because it's griefing and not fair to the other players in the instance.

I can second this. Actually, in my first time doing the second DT dungeon, I got put right at the final boss because the other healer just wouldn't heal. The reason was apparently for the healer strike, but I am 100% convinced that these stunts are a psy-op to make us look bad. I made sure to tell the group that it's the anti strikers who are the braindead idling cure 1 spammers. Don't be afraid to correct people if they fall victim to this.
I'll give healer a try up until level 100. If I do not like it, I'm off the role, entirely. Was this what Yoshi P wanted for people like me? Did he assume we were too foolish to take any semblance of complexity? How could such an allegedly open developer act so dismissive towards his own players? The flavor of the jobs I loved so much throughout the franchise were mere husks of themselves. What was once a magical world peeled away to reveal a sterile room of four walls. No imagination, no challenge, only accessibility for the sake of it. I didn't feel welcomed, I felt betrayed.
Another day, another day of tanks dominating the adventurer in need. Tanks still have instant queues, meanwhile healers have to wait.
So much for your strike.
