I thought Arthars was just being Arthars calling casual healers NPCs but, as it turns out, apparently quite a large chunk of the community sees healers that way, which is really sad.

Healers are always seen as doormats.. Even in most games, a healer is mostly a slave account.

If I'm being honest, I do have a habit of treating the people I get queued with as "slightly more lively NPCs" because it's always randoms on whichever server I data traveled to where the extent of conversation is "hi" and "gg" from all of us and I imagine most of them don't think I'm much more than an NPC as well, I'm just the one going pew pew and making them go vrrrroom.

That isn't to say that people should be acting rude and such to each other or disregarding any concerns one might have for their role, but rather if there's any tanks and fellow DPS out there that think I hold them in higher esteem, well... lol.
