AIN biases tanks 100%, simply because tank is the “default AIN” when either nobody is needed or everyone is needed. The only time healers are AIN is when BOTH healers are needed and tanks specifically aren’t needed, for DPS both healers and tanks need to not be needed

This is because tanks did use to be the rarer role overall in HW and SB, it’s also why the tank mount and tank achievement system exists. However since ShB healers flipped to the rarer role (as per the most recent lucky brancho mega census there is now 50% more tanks than healers and about half as many tanks as DPS) but they never updated the system to prioritise healers by default

So currently tanks get all the benefits as the “coddled super rare role” while healers are actually rarer

We need to stay hopeful to some degree. This strike is already doing a good job of getting people to talk about healer issues. I personally expect DT to experience a dried up green river.

Gotta say it - I'd prepare for disappointment then. We're going to have a huge influx of players, some new, many returning. The size of the strike likely isn't even going to be a blip in comparison, and if by some chance it is, as soon as the "in need" role switches from Tank to Healer, there will be plenty of those new and returning people lining up to take the bonus.

Here's someone talking about it 4 months after Stormblood release, and the comments agree the queue times were long.

This further makes the strike unlikely to do anything. Even if other queues get slightly longer...that's entirely what's expected, especially with this being another expansion featuring both new roles being DPS.

I don’t think the strike is going to work because you guys are still paying the sub and buying the expansion. Also isn’t healing going to get harder in 7.0 due to more intense pulls and difficulty. Since we’re getting harder dungeons.

The goal isn't to hit the wallet because we don't hate the game to that degree, just to draw attention to the issue. Which it seems to be doing already and the strike hasn't even happened yet.

And regarding the difficulty, YoshiP said the exact same thing before Endwalker and it didn't happen, so I do not believe it at all.

I remember the same thing being said for ShB, and the media tour vid that supposedly "started" this strike only showcased that it's not going to be any different.

I'm not, I got my refund a few days ago, and my sub runs out just as maintenance ends.

Statics and raiders automatically assume you have something to hide if you hide your logs. That means they assume you parse grey.

A grey parse is worth an infinite number of golds that wiped. I'm not joining a static that requires I present a set of logs like it's my resume. I'm just trying to play the game. This is proper. Not being willing to evaluate someone in-game and instead relying solely on third-party log sites is soft parse shaming.

Mind being a bit more specific on "these complaints"?

Are you seeing something in the DPS rotations of healers that everyone else isn't?
Are you having a fun and engaging time healing in casual content with max level tanks?
Are you sure you've played all jobs when your "main" is level 70?
No shame, but if you only recently resubbed, and the last time you played was Stormblood, that's fine. I'd just like to know.
