We need to stay hopeful to some degree. This strike is already doing a good job of getting people to talk about healer issues. I personally expect DT to experience a dried up green river.

Oh, I know about that chest, as well as a lot of other side ones elsewhere because I've often done a lot of dungeons solo first (due to being horribly over-leveled and geared for where I am in the story, lol), as well as having to rerun several for minions/cards/music rolls/Blue Magic. I don't mind grabbing all the company seal fodder I can, especially when it finally paid off and I got my first Night Pegasus Whistle. (Thanks Sohm Al Hard and your refusal to give me that Lava Scorpion Card.)The funny thing is some of the Heavensward dungeons did have out of the way chests. The Aery's 1st two little off shoots at the start used to have chests hidden in them, but I want to say they only had potions or clear glamor prisms. Which most people see as useless junk. So they got moved if not removed. Heck I'm not sure how many people know there's a chest or was one all the way to the left in Saint Mociaane's Arboretum at the start of the second trash section after the 1st boss. It does contain an armor piece, yet it's out of the way and whomever goes to go get it outside of the tank will have to pop sprint in order to not fall behind. Which can be kinda spicy if you're the healer and you have a crap tank.

Man, if y'all keep up at this pace, you'll eclipse the page count for Endwalker was Lackluster thread by mid July.

Oh no way, I don't think people (dps) are going to get groups immediately at all. I was here in Stormblood when we had the first double dps expansion and the queues were much longer than usual. It may not be because of the strike, but people are certainly not going to be celebrating their instant queues.
Here's someone talking about it 4 months after Stormblood release, and the comments agree the queue times were long.
Of course I could be wrong and I would be happy to be, considering I'll be playing dps myself.

Traditionally, tanks are rare almost all times of the year, but specially during expansion launches. I don't think that will change much.
If you think about it, perhaps Square's need to make the tanking role more desirable is what indirectly planted the seeds of healing design troubles. But that's a whole another discussion I guess.

I recall someone mentioning earlier, probably in this thread, that the way the in need system even bothers to show things is flawed for just moving down the list by tank, healer, then DPS. I don't know how accurate that statement was, but it generally tracks with what can be observed.
Like say you have 6 groups, absurdly small but bare with it, and they're 1T1D, 1T2D, 1T2D, 1T1D1H, 2D, and 2D1H. To fill all of these you'd need 2 tanks, 2 DPS and 4 healers. Healers clearly have the greatest need, but tanks are needed too and the system prioritizes displaying that. This is why it constantly says we need tanks, but trying to queue as a tank still leaves you waiting while a healer pops almost instantly.
