While I do agree that healers should be more engaging in easier content, which is a majority of the playtime for most of the playerbase, let's be real for a moment and acknowledge that a large chunk of healers actually hate having to heal and provide triage to unexpected damage. The only role that has moments where what it does is dynamic and dependent on the party and healers hate it.

unfortunately we as a community not doing anything to really push back against green dps mindset. They are very much ruining it for everybody. They complain about needing to actually heal on a healer job because it will stop them from pressing glare for 10 minutes straight, so devs ignore actual healer player complains. And they ruin it for raiders by dpsing instead of healing (up in this forum there were raiders mentioning how average healer will dps and not heal raidwide)

Originally healing was decently balanced with DPS on healers
but many of them complained that "it was hard"
so the DPS was dumped down.
with "stance dancing" healing jobs where pretty crazy, and you had to balance DPSing and healing.
