Sadge, =[. I need to make a Europe Alt, been meaning to but playing from zero I just don't have the time. Maybe if cross regions become a thing.Bro, I'd gladly do run with You. Just so we can see this "healing" defecite eye to eye. But I'm from differend side of the world (Eastern Europe) and play on European DC, and ngl, not willing to level stuff to 90 before DT on NA DC. And ngl - having good party is hardest part getting that ASS clear I did. Best healer fun I had.
#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
1: Healers need something to do when they aren't healing, the lousy one button dps experience and occasional second just is not enough.
2: The sustain of the nonhealer jobs has taken our job from us...which has left us nothing to do besides our lousy one button dps experience.
3: We do not need most of the healing buttons...a lot of those buttons can straight up be removed or consolidated. Which would be a good thing to consolidate using the new sys.
4: Pure & Shield means nothing and having any combination of the two is just overkill.
Sorry to drif this bit offtopic - but this game is really scary and not well designed to play on high ping, so playing EU can have some challenges. Wish You well and good party for clearing future Criterions.
Been just following this silly thread since a couple days and YT shoving healer strike vids into my face also kept me up to date. I've started playing shortly before EW dropped. I have been a healer ever since. I do savage when I get fc or friends to form a group I can join (I ain't ever gonna touch pf hell) and I've been enjoying healer all this time. I play 99.9% exclusively as Sage and I still love the hell outta that job.
If there's anything I would like to change, it's just more chances to use heals more often. I don't want more dps, just more healing situations. But if you run daily roulettes, theres plenty of runs where you get to heal a crapton, because people are new and don't know how to play or dodge or whatever the hell is going on.
I personally never had much of an issue and I certainly won't strike. You go and stop playing your healers, while I enjoy even faster ques as healer /shrug
To be perfectly honest, I probably missed that thread (#HEALERSAREQUITTING, that is), because I only visit the forum every odd couple of days and stay for a few days. And I avoid X.
But if the basic casual content is boring isnt that a major problem? Shouldnt the dungeons be engaging enough for the role to feel satisfying to play? Or should the only satisfaction be in Savage and Ultimate? Several other MMOs dont have this problem since many dont have dedicated healers or if they do, the class design is made in such a way where this isnt a problem.
I think you have a problem here where the job design is so out of touch with the playerbase that it causes friction when played in current EW content and below. I do agree that going off a lvl 91 dungeon is not wise. However that 91 dungeon is for sure not as engaging as Zot or Holm from previous opening expansion dungeons.
It multi-part from what I've heard. They don't agree with the course of action with the strike. That being said, they agree that the state of healing could be a lot better. They are alright with it at the moment but believe there is much room for it to i.prove. That being said, they want the healing to be more in depth.
There was someone from JP commenting here some time ago.
He came here after someone from here had posted about this Strike on the JP forum and he got a little curious and asked some stuff.
Mostly tried to understand why people Strike.
Appears the translation wasn't that well done and didn't leave the best of impression.
He mentioned that most people who read said post didn't understand why people would Strike and thought it to be excessive.
Can You quickly slap some more examples of such MMO. Because it's clearly not GW2, maybe TESO?But if the basic casual content is boring isnt that a major problem? I see that you didn't even read my post. My premise was on getting away from DPS as a primary focus. Improving DPS rotations is a band-aid fix to a larger design flaw.
Difficulty isn't the argument I made at all. It's about a return to healers focusing on healing, not DPSing. You can balance around sprout healers healing. The "but what about sprouts?" argument is an ideological straw-man.
Sigh, again you didn't even read my post - or if you did you clearly didn't assimilate any of the points or arguments in it. The verifiability comes from ability parses that have been posted ad nauseum in this thread.3) I dunno how verifiable it is. We talk about min ilvl sprouts doing dungeon together for the first time or people like me and You who can run it 4 healers without tank?
You can W2W Tower of Zot and Babil? How's Aurum Vale runs going? Doma Castle pack before first boss?
This is nearly incoherent but you seem to think "healers want to fill a healing role" means "healers want blindingly complex DPS rotations and maddeningly difficult healing responsibilities even at sprout-level content" and again, that's not the argument being made by anyone. But I run dungeons with players who used Heavy Shot, Venomous Bite and Quick Nock through all dungeon. They often have this green icon near their name. Your argumnets also doesn't account for people with low skill capacity, so is it still valid? What about accessebility options? For people with less agility to press buttons. I mean who cares they'll struggle in dungeons made for everyone, I wanna have my fun, am I right?
If anything should ask for more demanding content, than job design. Ask for boss doing more DoTs on raid, screw You up everytime, do Heartless Angel type move before raidwide and before Heartless Angel aslso have Raidwide so healers don't be lazy and not heal before mandatory drop to 1 hp. It's not dungeons problem, it's not healer design problem it's lack of harder well designed encounters. And I remind You -- P3S made healers quit!
P.D. You crowd even made "Depicted as Soyjak" analog by putting legit arguments into "Healerstrikebingo" and I must just drop it?
Well, GW2 is build in mind that each class have their own healing and can live on it.
However with all the new... whatever they're called, "unique classes", some are more tailored for healing than others.
So yes and no I guess.
I played ESO for years and even if they don't have dedicated healers like so, they still have classes that are better at healing than others.
If you queue for a dungeon there's still the trinity setup.
And if you raid you want dedicated healers for it.
But ESO also allow all classes the flexibility to play any role.
I've tanked as a Nightblade (generally a DPS "rogue") with health leech.
