Can we lock this thread already? This "healer strike" nonsense is so toxic and harmful to the game and community. It shows why the FF forums are a dumpster fire of bad behavior and toxicity.

I mean I’d genuinely pay for an explanation of why “I’m sick of playing a role I don’t think the devs give adequate attention to and is boring so I’m going to play one of the shiny new DPS classes instead” is toxic and harmful to the game community
We arent NPC’s to fill your queues, we want to enjoy playing the game as well and we feel like healers don’t let us do that so we are leaving the role, if you have such a problem with that you can play the healer and let me play pictomancer

In any case I don't see how someone can just sashay in and declare that there is "harm to the community" .
people switching to other roles is "toxic"? but you just told people in another thread that if they don't like healing they should switch to another role. Which is it?
or is it another "fill my queue, stop having opinions" situation?

Malia, if people would talk about the topic instead of desperatly trying to strike break it we would have a way healthier enviroment.
Your post does add to negativity not reduce it.
Also i will mention that this Strike also got the Attention of our Japanese Allies.
There thread about it is a really nice read even if i needed a translation tool.
I will also say that the english Community Manager basicly dont interact with anything here while the Japanese Side does maintain a moderation.
Which of course does fuel a feeling of abandonment which also add to the strike.
Next time, please be more careful with what you post. You claim this thread is toxic yet you are toxic, yourself, not only to this thread but to others.
#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
- Seraphism is BAD.
- Give us back Shadowflare and make Deployment/Emergency Tactics affect Biolysis
- Give us back Rouse
- Make pet management rewarding.
I do wish that talks could be opened without personal attacks or backhand comments, so I get what you mean a bit.
However, I don't think it needs to be as far as locking the thread. A lot of good talk has come from this thread even through the attacks. In truth, while I support the Healer Strike, some of the talks has made me go back and re-examine things to make sure I am viewing everything in a way I agree with, so if anything, I appreciate the 2 sides to the conversation. It just takes a bit of reading between lines sometimes :/
It has come from both sides, but I know for my own headspace, the times I feel the "call to action to defend" is when I feel like someone is being a bit unfair. Let's be real though, it is better to not respond if you feel emotionally charged (talking 90% to myself). Not excusing things, just how I have seen a lot so far.
I hope ya have a good one though! Dawntrail is almost here and I hope you get to enjoy it~

If you had seen their other messages in other threads, you would have known that they're only flaming and trying to disturb the conversation. Not adding anything to it.I do wish that talks could be opened without personal attacks or backhand comments, so I get what you mean a bit.

Ignore is the best answer we could give to posts like the one you've quoted.

Well wow healers go from good to awful every patch and rn in df it's pretty fun. but yeah sage being disp mixed with holy pal would be good inspo .I can see why you would say that but I would disagree, Holy Paladin is just poorly designed the whole "melee healer" build that Blizzard forced many players into in Shadowlands vs the traditional ranged Hpal was a bad choice you had people crying for a reason - your melee abilities generate HP and HP = free heals, sure you can use CS on the boss and generate 3 HP in 18 seconds for a free word of glory which is a decenist heal, but most heal builds for HPal were focused around Barrier of Faith Beacon of Virtue and Blessings of Summer build in raids and Holy Prisim and Beacon of Virtue in M+ Dungeon content.
The only time a HPal would actually be an actual melee healer would be within the short window of Avenging Crusader talent.
Discipline priest is the only real DPS healer in WOW owing to how atonement works in the game - you heal players with your atonement buff for a % of damage done.
