It's an elegant solution, ForsakenRoe. You idea is easier to implement than most of the other suggestions made by healers, such as my idea of nerfing the healing abilities of non-healers in duties and raids.

I don't think many people would disagree healers should be doing doing less button pushing for damage and more button pushing for healing. In addition, your proposal wouldn't require a major overhaul of the mechanics used in instances and raids.

While, I'm no programmer or game developer, I cannot see it being too difficult to add the Heal Absorb effect to certain pre-existing boss abilities across the board. After all, many of the same mechanics are used among bosses repeatedly.

I think a counterpoint some healers would rightly make is that such a mechanic would normally be expected to be a healing test. A mechanic for healers to use some of those big CDs they have to get through these mechanics, and failure to handle them puts the entire raid in trouble. In the past, in other games, this *was* a healer mechanic.

And we're talking about it right now as a way to handle Shake it Off.

Sometimes I wonder if it would be utilised more if it came with a small heal or regen. Though of course they would actually have to let us Esuna debuffs in the first place, which they seem to be absolutely allergic to.

I’d very much be delighted to have some sort of agency to pick a priority system to which debuff I want to cleanse instead of randomly picking one. Always love to see RNG picking that one bleed with 3s remaining when the target have couple more debilitating debuff or 15s+ bleed going on lol.

Absolutely. I'm really annoyed with is when I run Deep Dungeons with friends and somehow, Esuna always picks the wrong debuff to cleanse first.

Everything sucks. Game is turning into a mobile app RP venue for weirdos and perverts
