I mean you can literally check. But you don't have to do savage or ultimate content to have an opinion on this issue. Gatekeeping does not negate the points a person makes, their reasoning, or their experience (regardless of what it may be). Just imagine how silly that would be. "Uhhh, you can't comment on this because you haven't done Utimate!" "Okay, let me get my friend who does Ultimate to say the same thing, now what are you going to do?" You're just setting yourself up to get dunked on, 2bh.

I did check and definitely seen majority of those complaining don't do difficult content. I know from experience that healing isn't that easy. In fact most of the healers in the community don't even heal when they should be. For example, when I was progging p12s last year before echo came out. I found white mages dropping asylum when no damage was going out then we were dying to the next bleed aoe cause the whm didn't have anything to help heal us. Then they went into the balance discord to cry about the sage and make fun of the sage for not healing. When the balance mentors asked for logs to review they started roasting the whm because they were the ones not healing.

So yes, if you aren't doing difficult content and want to complain about healing being easy then go do that and let us know how easy it is then.

Healers didn't faint in normal or "savage/ultimate" content before shadowbringer's kidergarten changes. You'll be fine.

Idk, many of us also started in ARR/HW and are unhappy. In fact, I've seen more vets in support than against. It's a shame that you've seen how healing has evolved and are happy with the result. It's about the amount of other things we could do when healing/shielding wasn't needed, not just stance dancing lol. But hey, enjoy your role!

Wrong.... many of us who are against this strike have actually played the game much longer... since beta or ARR or even HW. I played WHM in ARR, HW and Stormblood. I have a video on my youtube page highlighting how proper stance dancing works from when I was teaching a sprout healer how to do it. I'm glad stance dancing is no longer a thing. I enjoy the PISS out of sage that I have played it more than any of my other jobs I tend to touch. I'm not gleefully watching you have a bad time with something. If you are unhappy then healer is not for you at this point, because you are in fact a minority.

There isn't really any way to quantify how many are/aren't actually okay with the state of healers considering that the "majority" do not visit this forum at all.

I've largely seen more negativity in regards to the people who've actually responded to the whole healer strike debacle, though.

Except this is not about "difficulty of content". If that is all you have managed to gather from 435 pages of discourse, I fear you have either not seriously read and examined the concerns the healer player base have or the issues that have been identified - some which were identified in 2018 and 2022...

So we've got the join date Oct 2015 that "joined at the end of ShB" and the "Sage main" with WAR and WHM on their profile claiming that the strike is bad while claiming the healer with the most complex damage rotation currently. (it's just Phlegma but it's more than everyone else lol)

JUST DO CRITERION DUNGEON FOR ONCE. I swear to God, people complaining about pressing 1 button never healed anything harder than EX, IF they healed EX.
Pressing 1 button is needed to keep concentration and being able to react to someones fumble and to save the run.
Ever tried to do at least HW+ AR without healers? You spam rez on sprouts so much, You have no time for super complex rotation.
1 button spam is so dishonest -- All healers but Astro got 1 filler, 1 dot, 1 burst. Gameplay is: Fill as much fillers as You can while heal/move ; Keep dot ; Time burst with Your allies burst buffs. All while making sure next nuke won't kill anyone.

Also, only players Your strike is gonna hurt is Sprouts, who already a huge headache in DF. You give them harder time as healers (which they already can't handle and spam Cure 1) and everything folds. Bosses are balanced around healer damage, so if You make "COMPLEX AND ENGAGING" rotation for healers, bosses must be adjusted, but in which direction? Balancing around healers who can't damage, or around those who can? Make dungeons even more of a joke, or a slog?

Yeah... After seeing the argument 'You healers asked for this' in some of the discourse sorounding this, I did go for a little dig into the depths of the forums. Didn't find any threads asking for less DPS option. But turns out, these same complaints of 'can we please have our DPS buttons back' actually started in SB already in threads like this:
