~ Reactions to the Manifesto Part 1

I can't, in good conscience, contribute to a movement that will cause major disruptions in the game I love. Everyone's enjoyment will be affected, and some may end up quitting due to longer queues caused by such elitism.

Did the OP consider that there are healers out there who are mostly satisfied with the status quo?

Although it is frustrating when a party defeats a boss despite my mistake and death, I can't hold it against them. It shows their passion and skill that they can finish without a healer.

Things have always been like this in FFXIV, at least since Heavensward. Granted, there have been changes, both good and bad, over time. While I'm dissatisfied with the flow of Astrologian due to the separation of Draw and Play, which makes the job more annoying to play, I am able to play every single job reasonably well, especially healing jobs. I appreciate the DPS and Tank's abilities to self-heal. Healers won't always bother healing a mere DPS, and slots 5-8 tend to receive the least attention in an 8-man party.

If every job had DPS like Sage, I'd be overjoyed. Frankly, I play Sage as my main because it's a rush to use my AOE attacks well to contribute to the DPS. My only request would be adding this capability to each healing job without unduly loading healers with unnecessary additional actions. My job is hard enough as it is. That's why I think of this movement as elitism. Those less capable might consider healing so difficult and annoying that they end up becoming DPS.

The Sage job feels satisfying and rewarding enough for my tastes. Making every healing job more like Sage would be enough!

There is individuality among healers, although they are generally homogeneous. With some exceptions like Sage, a specialist in one healing job can try another and do reasonably well. Can they be a true master of that new job yet? No. It took time for me to master Sage when it dropped in Endwalker. It also took time for me to fully master all four healing jobs, each with their own intricacies.

Sages use shooty lasers. White Mage uses flower magic. Scholar uses shields and poison. Astrologian uses sparkly long-range AOE magic. That's enough individuality for me.
