Healers have been asking for changes for two expansions straight now, to give you an idea of where we are at.
It's like people forget or just don't understand to begin with that strikes are supposed to be disruptive. That's the entire point: it draws attention to the issues.
Then I'm honestly happy for you.
I'm a big fan of doing what you personally find fun (as long as that doesn't mean maliciously ruining someone else's fun). It's why I've been in this forum encouraging posters to go play other games when they've gone on their "game sucks/game is dying" rants. If it's not fun to you, don't do it.
No, you didn't.
What you said was that you don't think they take unsubbed players into consideration when balancing numbers. That's effectively saying they only care about subscribed players when making balancing adjustments. End of paragraph.
Then you started a new paragraph saying they never try to try to get back unsubbed players.
If you meant that they don't use balancing numbers to try to draw unsubbed players back to the game, you should have said it that way.

Yeah this is my thought to. Does no one the Dev team actually Play a Healing class? Like this is the weirdest thing I seen and I started playing in Shadowbringers.I think its good time to bring up the point, that when Square Enix designers looked at the savage raid content and saw what skills are needed to clear it, they did not gave gazillion ones to the Blue Mage.
They only have few healing spells and even this is overkill for two to bring to the 8 man raid so one takes less spells to be off-healer instead.
So it is perfect demonstration that healer with DPS focused kit can already work in current game and clear any content no problem.
Yet real healers have a design that is completely out of alignment with what is actually needed for the content.
And given that useless traits like Freecure still exists it is apparent no designer is actually responsible for them or actively plays them.
In case you might be interested, here are just some of the times forum posts and suggestions were made in the past.
The most comprehensive forum post (from 2020 and still active today): https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...-healer-issues
A small number examples of healer redesigns/suggestions from forum members (from 2023-24 alone):

There are many, many, many more examples in the healer forums. I’m hesitant to link more because Im unsure of the forum rules on posting many links in one message.
My point is this - regarding suggestions, we have tried. A lot. No one involved in this strike has arrived here without trying to be reasonable. This is being done as a last resort.

I think the straw that broke the camels back for many players is that with this moment watching that dawntrail dungeon, many realised they are staring down the barrel of another two + years of dull gameplay after already experiencing that for the past four.
So far in his video he says:more youtube coverage, this time from Kaiyoko Star: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRahNdDGM1E
- Yoshi P promises individuality therefore there will be
- Taking WAR's bloodwhetting would strip it out of its individuality, so SE must balance around it
- He doesn't care that dungeons can be cleared without healers, because (apparently) high end content isn't affected
- You signed up as healer, therefore you shouldn't expect a bigger DPS rotation like actual DPS roles; however he still finds it valid to ask for more, but it's still not your job to DPS more
- If you, as healer, want a full-on rotation, go play DPS
- He agrees Cleric Stance was great and rewarding
- Just because TOP was cleared without healers doesn't mean it's valid
- Healers need to be ready to heal when necessary, and their rotation should remain basic
- "The individuality is the way you play the job and how each functions differently between each of them"
- He doesn't agree casual content (aka dungeons) should have any heals check because he doesn't want to feel any pressure because he just wants to get in and get out. Having heal checks in casual content will cause people to fail said content
- "Healers that complain about this don't do that content that's actually hard" timestamp
- You need to get into high end content to see actual healing stuff
- "This person (referring to Gemina) has never played in a static that's high end because people will work together to reduce the amount of healing needed"
- He argues if they reduce oGCD heals and add more needed healing, people will get annoyed they need to stop and cast heal because you'll be barraged by mechanics
- FFXIV was never meant to be designed where lots of heals are needed (one comment in his chat says "they want wow type of healing")
- Because people always tried to sneak more damage in, SE essentially started moving away from heals to mitigation based system
- He reiterates that healers had more stuff to do back in ARR, HW and SB (aside from Cleric Stance, SCH's Shadow Flare, Miasma 2, WHM's Aero 2, etc)
- He compared WoW and FFXIV to be in similar in terms of raiding, but not so much in casual content. If you want to be a healer that heals more, you should play a MMO that provides that instead of FFXIV
- He admits himself that if he had a WAR in his savage party, he didn't feel needed as a healer, any other tank was ok
- "I go into healer with the mindset I don't wanna heal" timestamp
I stopped at hour 1:06 because I got tired, but here are some snippits that caught my attention. In the last one it sounds like he should switch to DPS if he wanna DPS more.

I was talking to a healer friend about this and they mentioned the main problem is that our kit has very little depth and synergy. With a lot of our skills feeling disjointed and not interacting with one another.
They put forward the idea of a healing rotation. A more in-depth way to engage with your kit. Buttons proc-ing other, more powerful buttons that would couple with another third button. This would all be a mix of healing and mitigation with some debuffing/buffing added for extra incentive. A bit more in-depth like the DPS rotation.
I don't know if this has already been thought of or not, just wanted to add their voice to this since they don't come to the Forum.

The tone of your replies really helps build your case, sweetie. So happy for you, girliepop. Hope you keep this same energy IRL, sugar.
