I find it a touch ironic that WHM is the job that got the semi-spammable OGCD shields instead of...y'know, either of the so-called shield healers, and now they get a chunky AoE shield +regen as their DT capstone ability for reasons.

I think I'd want SGE's Druochole to be a OGCD shield instead of a heal personally to partially rectify that.

Oh, it’s much worse on the 100 skill front.

Shield healers got pure healing.
SCH: WHM Cure III Spam
SGE: WHM Plenary Indulgence

And the pure healers got mitigations:
WHM: Shields
AST: Tactician

Pure/Barrier Healer split is a complete failure.

I would just like to say to the person who came up with this idea (Gemina), it’s brilliant.

In less than a week this post has generated over 300 posts a day. To those who tell the strikers to do something more productive, what? Post quiet feedback that doesn’t get replied to for 5+ years? They’ve done that.

Calling this a “strike” is genius. It immediately evokes the idea of “we can’t take it anymore.” Everyone knows what it means and the detailed objectives in the first post are crystal clear.

To those who say, “don’t bother striking, get content creators to do something instead.” Seriously, LOL
The strike IS getting content creators to pay attention, on the strikers’ terms.

This will become mainstream knowledge among the player base before long. And I hope that YoshiP takes notice and begins to pepper his interviews and presentations with some inkling of what’s going on.

Healers are an unsatisfying role to play right now, and I believe that the ideas put forth in the initial list will serve to improve everyone’s enjoyment, not just those advocating the strike.

Knowledge about this is spreading pretty quickly. It's not often I hear about a forum post from people in my circles who dont pay attention to the forum.

I've been forum posting for quite a while now and this is getting far more attention than most other threads combined. It's pretty rare to see a forum post breach containment. Usually I have to proactively explain what is happening on the forum but in multiple circles I am in outside of the forum this topic has been brought up without my initiative.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet (the thread is becoming kinda big ) : just to discuss another fail point of healer design : let's look at Limit Breaks.

While LB3 healer can feel good/rewarding and save a fight ; you need LB3 ready and a healer alive with most of the party dead (meaning it's likely due to avoidable damage).
Meanwhile tank/dps LB are involved in fight design themselves.

Healer LB 1 & 2 are never used. Why ? Because it's just an unneeded heal, and you're likely going to heal more with a single/couples spell/ability that doesn't lock you for 2s...
