It's group content. You will not be able to consent to everything a player does to your character. You can get killed outright if the tank suddenly turned and the boss cleaves the whole party (happens plenty of times in Titania normal)

This is only ever a legitimate mistake, or griefing. Not comparable to rescue, unless you want to argue rescue is griefing.

or God, they even force you to MOVE if they turn around, so you can hit your positionals! That's a DPS loss right there. How DARE the tank not stand in the same spot all fight!

You edited this into your post after you realized how weak your original argument was. Positionals are currently implemented in a way to where, while you may lose some potency, missing a positional shouldn't really impact the overall flow of your rotation. Players are also granted tools to reasonably mitigate this problem on their own, like True North. Most experienced players are able to tell when a tank is going to face the boss, unless they're running in circles which would again be griefing.
