Glamour restrictions: a hinderance to creativity

How is that the case? I have not said you should feel the way I do about restrictions. Nor have I said you should like the current situation of glam. Idk just seems like you are annoyed that someone simply does not agree with your stance regarding glam.

As I said this largely boils down to me saying I like the way things are now, and I see no need for change. Yet you are saying no you cannot say that, you must agree with what we want because it has no impact on you personally. I mean sure it has no impact, it is still valid to like the ways things and not want change. I am in no way preventing this change from happening. I am dumb so might have to point out the hypocrisy, but for the most part I think this just boils down to a disagreement.

How you feel towards glam is valid, and maybe SE will listen and remove the restrictions. It is not like SE does surveys on this stuff and not my view on this topic is even popular. So not like you have to worry about my stance preventing this from happening. Though idk I do not see SE going back, maybe I could see them not having restrictions moving forward though.

I do get the point of the request you want as close as possible to unlimited options when it comes to available glamour options. You feel it limits hinders expressive creativity and generally pointless. Cool. I disagree, why is that an issue? It is okay to say nah I do not like that I rather things stay the same. That is a valid position. It is not a hill I will die on, if a poll or something came out I would vote no, but I would not seek for it to be removed if it was added. I would still prefer more racial specific gear that is made with the features unique to each race in mind. I would love for more gender specific gear be it male or female. Would neat to see something akin to GW cultural armor / weapons added to the game for various level ranges. If we get stuff like that cool, if not still cool game is still enjoyable for me. Just seems you are getting rather annoyed simply by the fact that some people disagree with the stance you hold.


People have differing views it does not mean they are out to ruin the fun of others. I enjoyed old cleric stance, I know many will disagree with me but they are not out to ruin my fun they have their own preferences. We can disagree on something and still be civil, we are all part of the same community.

It was never about you simply disagreeing, and it's disingenuous of you to say that's the case. It was you saying more than once that they flat-out shouldn't do it regardless of the fact that it has no effect on you whatsoever. At best you're simply selfish.

That is where the disagreement lays, you think SE should do it, I think they shouldn't. It does simply boil down to disagreeing how is that disingenuous. Aren't most requests made selfish in nature they are often made with personal pleasure in mind. Being selfish is not inherently wrong or evil. I would assume people are making this request as it would increase their own personal enjoyment of the game. Awesome!

Just because it has no effect on me does not mean I have to like it or be in favor of something. You can say I have a preference or bias towards one way of things being done, and thus I would prefer things to stay that way. If it does change so be it life goes on. I am not certain why exactly is that a problem with ya?

Sometimes people have no logical rhyme or reason for wanting something to not progress or change, regardless of the amount of people that would benefit from it. Sometimes you just gotta throw your hands up and say "Okay boomer." and just continue advocating for what you enjoy and what you want to change and ignore people who disagree purely for the sake of disagreement.

Sure it has no impact and I can work around it, are you saying because it can be worked around I should just go along with liking something I generally find unnecessary / have no desire for?

I don't care about Savage or Ultimate, but I can just....not do them. It's not difficult.

I like Savage and Ultimate, but I am okay with people saying they would prefer the resources that went into Ultimate went into content that has a lager reach and if they had to vote on it they would vote for no ultimate. That is cool, I disagree with the stance but if that is how someone feels so be it. Not exactly sure what is the problem with that. Just because we can shrug it off does not mean we have to accept it or go along with it. I just do not see why people get so annoyed by disagreements or take it on some personal level like people are personally out to ruin their fun. I know many people that feel Ultimate is an utter waste of resources, from their perspective it is who am I say they are wrong or should just go along with what I life because it has a positive impact on the portion of the community.

If the change did happen that is what I would personally do just shrug it off, but hey if just as some would like to like vocalize their desire for change on the subject I just vocalized my desire for things to stay the same. I do not do so as a personal attack or as an inherent desire for others to not have fun, but sure at the core I like many others do prioritize their own enjoyment of the game over others, since end of the day isn't that the reason we all started to play for personal enjoyment?

That is the part I do not get telling people to piss off because they disagree just seems odd to me.

You are absolutely 100% correct OP.

I played a TON of mmo.....Exit lag, PSO2 layers, setting up a Russian version of Lost Ark before it was released.....Translating mmo that are not in the states yet....

Yeah, I do stuff like that. I been around the MMO block, and lackluster customization does indeed play a huge role in creativity. I would put FFXIV in the C tier in terms of customization. It is just average.....Its there, you can do stuff, not much. And even then, you cannot mix and match costume pieces like other mmo with limited character creation such as DCUO; which I would put in the B tier.

DCUO and FFXIV are very similar in terms of customization, but were DCUO makes up for it is with costumes you earn in-game. Regardless of role, you can use any piece for appearance.

I would put GW2 in the B tier.

EVE Online is akin to a A tier.

FFXI (My favorite mmo) is sadly D-tier....pretty bad....It is so bad, the team alluded to not wanting to allow race change, because it is not much to change hahaha, damn.

S Tier is stuff like Champions Online & Black Desert Online those are just UNTOUCHABLE......A guy literally created M.O.D.O.K in Champions Online. Don't know how he/she did it, but they did...
