I'm curious, how would this work in a fight like Savage or Ultimates? Where bosses frequently reposition or ppl need to regularly be moving to different parts of the arena to handle mechanics?Positioning being relevant doesn’t mean you’re going to be standing in front of the boss, nobody is disputing that either.. It could refer to the Luopans position, or be akin to the positional requirements that some jobs do feature. Like, positioning in front of an enemy could easily be made to benefit you specifically during solo play. So, no denying that doesn’t hold up.
Though not yet mentioned by name, it’s worth noting that Luopan IS THE COMPASS.

I don’t know, why don’t you ask the jobs that have positional requirements.
But then again, positional impact would be different from positional requirement. Like small effects change that doesn’t break what you intend to do.

Those classes use positionals with their own bodies. It’s not a whole Sacred Soil type ability sir. You want a placed bubble with limited aoe range, in fights that require a lot of movement. That is not the same as a Samurai hitting the back or flank of a boss throughout an encounter.

Yea but if your laying a field aoe, a thing that is already inherently rough in savage/ultimates and boss moves its not a melee who can move with the boss, its just there on the ground. Or during mechanics that force you to be in specific places directional relevance gets real bad. Melee have abilities like True North.

He's not talking about FFXI anymore, he switched without telling anyone. He went from FFXI to real life loupans for a friend. He doesn't understand they are placed like abilities in game.Yea but if your laying a field aoe, a thing that is already inherently rough in savage/ultimates and boss moves its not a melee who can move with the boss, its just there on the ground.
