Can we please delay Savage?

I mean, this literally applies to your argument as well.

Yet, it literally doesn't. By delaying savage you are taking away my choice to do savage week 1. Tell me what choice are you denied by not delaying it?

I explained it in my first post a couple pages back. My only choice then is to do the story and fall behind the first wave raiders, or don't do the story for awhile. So in that sense, yes SE is forcing that choice. If I choose to play FFXIV as a raider who enjoys story those are my two choices.

What are you falling behind on? Tell me what you actually need from savage to progress anything except savage? Who is making you do anything other than what you want to do by releasing it?

Do you have a static? Yes? Ok then either join like-minded people or live with YOUR choice.

I raid and have no problems doing story, crafting, gathering, the trial and beastribes when I feel like it. I raid with likeminded people and we do the story, progression etc at our own pace. The only way I feel rushed is when I am pushing to get something done (like gettina crafters/gathers 70-80 day 1 on expansion) Those things are MY choices.

This whole -- I have no choices if its released on week one is silly. You are doing it to yourself....

That wouldn't have "delayed everything" - far from it. You would have still had plenty to choose from, and people like myself and others that want a delay would have had what they wanted too. Win-win.

but it wouldn't have been what I wanted. I would have been pigeonholed to do things in the order YOU want too. Releasing it all at the same time allows people to CHOOSE. Not a win-win for me (or others that dont want it)

and I dont need to go strawman, you guys are doing that all by yourselves... less options is more choice. Gotcha

oh and its your choice to go for week 1 clears, so live with it. I will continue to enjoy all the content at my leisure

I enjoy raiding and I also enjoy the story and lore from normal mode. I shouldn't have to sacrifice my enjoyment of the story when the developers can easily delay the second and third Savage tier release like they literally do for the first tier of every expansion. This is not an unheard of thing. It's something that is already done for one tier and not the others.

The story for eden isn't even tied to MSQ, what exactly are you sacrificing that you aren't choosing too? You do know that you can do one and not have to rush the other right? Doing Eden will not suddenly reveal all the msq...or any of it. The only thing I see here is some self delusion that you have to do it all in a day or week or else you fail? Game over? Character Deletion? Hardcore mode? The only way it would get spoiled is if you LITERALLY DO IT YOURSELF lolol

and yes... its all about time. and YOU control YOUR time, not mine. Spend yours how you want.

Yeah, this thread has devolved further into the situation that I was talking about/alluding to earlier.

I get why people are asking for the delay, and I'm mostly on board with it because I want everyone to have the chance to play the story without rushing through it. That said, a lot of you guys are doing your best to ignore the fact that you're asking other people to wait an extra week just so that you can have everything just how you want it.

We all currently have the option to pick and choose what content we want to prioritize. Under that system we really should be able to decide what is most important to us and be happy with our choices. So asking everyone else to wait because you want to have it all and then dismissing their responses isn't going to get you a lot of goodwill.
