Can we please delay Savage?

I say the same to you, delaying when you start savage wont kill you either. I feel like I'm getting responses from people that feel their choices are more important than someone else's or just can't comprehend that THEIR choice shouldn't trump someone else's.

I mean, this literally applies to your argument as well. So, not sure the point you're actually trying to make here, unless it's to defeat your own argument. It's not just "my" choice - there are raiders better than me and more hardcore than me that want a delay between Savage and Normal mode. And it was something that Yoshida has mentioned considering before. People in this thread are just chiming in to offer their support for the option, and giving reasons why they think it's a good thing to do.

I think it would be nice to not have to sacrifice enjoying the story simply because I also want to aim for a Week 1 clear of the tier. A lot of the people in my static are the same way, and we all work/go to school - and can't just take time off whenever/skip class. We set our Week 1 schedule to try and maximize the time progressing while also taking into account each other's real-life obligations and schedules.

The devs constantly stress the importance of the story - and the first tier is delayed two weeks from the release of normal mode for that reason - so this isn't a far-fetched request. It's something that's already done for one of the tiers.

Whats next? Delay everything in a patch so only MSQ remains on patchday? No thanks, I like to choose when I do the content, not have it chosen for me. I've been doing a bit of everything and guess what, I don't feel rushed one bit. You know why? You guessed it, its MY choice.

Don't get too strawman-happy, now. That's not going to help you. Though, you do realize that when you do content is already being chosen for you, right? It's not like you can do whatever you want before the content drops.

Patch 5.2 could have literally been: MSQ, Verse Normal Mode, Ruby Weapon Normal, and Ruby Weapon EX. 5.21 could have been Verse Savage + Tomestone and crafted gear/food. That wouldn't have "delayed everything" - far from it. You would have still had plenty to choose from, and people like myself and others that want a delay would have had what they wanted too. Win-win.

I love crafting, why should I have to wait for that? Im a day one crafter so what you are saying is take my enjoyment away because "you feel rushed".

You'll still have Day 1 crafting - it would just release with the Savage tier a week later, but it would still be "Day 1", because the new crafted gear exists for Savage progression. None of the other content in this game needs it.

and lets be honest here, If you arent world first racing then you do NOT need to take time off work, that is such a horrible excuse

I'm not a world racer - no desire to be one - but I do like to aim for Week 1 clears. I have a job that I have to go to - I can't just request/block off entire weeks or months like some, and that's fine. I need the money.

I enjoy raiding and I also enjoy the story and lore from normal mode. I shouldn't have to sacrifice my enjoyment of the story when the developers can easily delay the second and third Savage tier release like they literally do for the first tier of every expansion. This is not an unheard of thing. It's something that is already done for one tier and not the others.

Release it all on launch and let those who are determined enough to do it first do it first, and everyone else can play catchup.

I love how your entire argument is implying there's a discrepancy in determination to do this content. World First raiders are asking for this delay. It's not just the casuals who want it, or those who don't world race but aim for Week 1 kills.

Determination has nothing to do with this request. It's all about time.
