Can we please delay Savage?

You're sitting here screeching away, spewing vitriol and poison over a choice that you've never once nor likely will ever take.

The answers to your first question have been stated clearly, concisely and repeatedly but you ignore them every time because you are so utterly caught up in defending a 'choice' that you have no stock in that you're missing the fact that a very significant chunk of the people that grab this choice with both hands would actually rather not have to.

I may not be a hardcore prog raider myself anymore, but I'm still in an FC filled with them, and I don't see them kicking off and complaining about the staggered content releases we see after each expansion. The raid being delayed for a day or a week makes no difference in the grand scheme of things. But being able to actually kick back and enjoy the story in this game would.

Removing something takes away, it really is that simple. Leaving it as it is, leaves it all open for everyone to choose.

Because if you knew anything about this game's high end raid scene, you'd know that very few of them post here because of the numerous bans on these forums over theory crafting and number crunching in the past.

You can dress it up with all the toxicity you want, it doesn't change the fact that a simple delay of 1 day would solve this problem. But then that wouldn't give you your dopamine fix from threads like these would it now.

I'd say your understanding of progression raiding is up there with your knowledge of workplace holiday arrangements. Very very narrow.

Four pages later, and I notice my question still hasn't been answered. The opposition to this continually asks why we would want to delay Savage for a week. This has been explained in intricate detail by several here.

I asked four pages ago why the opposing side is so against the delay, and what of value would be lost to them if this delay was put in place. I am still hearing crickets on this. The question was conveniently ignored in favor of trying to counter any point the pro-delay side brought up for why they want it implemented instead of answering this question.

The only reason I've been able to glean from their side is they 'want it now.' Yet...we wait six months I believe between Eden raid cycles? Six months and you can't wait a single week more? Give me a break.

Why delay it a week? Give me one reason that doesn't revolve around personal preference. Nobody can, only "I feel rushed" "I cant get vacation" "I work" etc etc. It's absolutely hilarious that nobody will admit past their own preference.

I don't want it delayed because it takes a choice away from me and many others. It does not matter if you want it or not, that is a FACT. If you delay savage you take away from other peoples choice TO DO IT.

It doesn't matter that the new week 1 is still week 1. You are still taking a choice from me. (and anyone else)

Where as the way it is now, everyone is free to choose.(and if you say you dont have a choice, it is literally on you, not me, not SE or anyone else...YOU) If you aren't free to choose when the patch hits, then that is on you is it not? It's not about anything other than that.

Read Above, im not demanding that my argument is correct. it IS correct. Right now is the most fair so that EVERYONE is free to choose WHAT THEY WANT. Anything short of how it is now, takes a choice away.

Considering how casual heavy the game is, that isnt asking for much.

It's not like I'm against the idea. I'm saying that out of principle.

And funny that the game can be very casual (which is true) yet butchers all classes to cater to the very vocal minority. All tanks/healers are the same now thanks to that.

So basically "I want the choice to do it week one but I'm actually not going to do it until it's dead content"?

Personally, I think that people who are strongly against this delay are being selfish.

While raiders do make a choice of pursuing savage content, they are the only ones who have to make a sacrifice for choosing to prioritize content that they most enjoy, and that sacrifice is being locked out of seeing story for raids. Prioritizing any other piece of content doesn't lock you out of doing other things.

And so I have an option in mind as an alternative.

Why not ask SE to add current raid story to “New game+” immediately on release? While it doesn’t fully solve everything that being pointed out, i think it’s decent middle ground. Nobody loses any of their choices, and raiders who want to enjoy story will have opportunity to do so at later date when they have time.

How this thread has been going on for 15 pages is beyond me.

What is there to argue about ? As long as the Savage raids are available for everyone at the same time, how is it an issue that they're delayed of a week ?
Is it because you like the idea of having less competition for the first server clear or something ?

I mean, i personally don't care if they're delayed or not. If i had to wait one more week, i would be fine. Each update should have enough stuff to keep everyone busy for at least a week anyway, so i don't see what's the big deal ... I must be missing the point of the "anti-delay" side.

Meh.

Its actualy a bit more interesting to see each team putting their strategy in to motion ASAP, having two team dedicating themselves at the same time, one who start the progress with the raid and the one rushing to get the better gear ready the faster possible, when pattern from normal mode are still fresh. With one week notice, everybody will be geared the same, every moves will be analyzed and team more prepared to destroy it even faster.

I mean, yeah sure you can't enjoy the rest of the patch at your own pace, but hey world first is about dedication and skill, competition is a cruel world, if you are not ready to press the skip button to go faster you're not ready at all.
