Can we please delay Savage?

I'd even favor pushing it to *two* weeks, since this is already done during expansions. I know that's largely because of the amount of content in an expansion and a desire to not have players race through everything to focus just on that, but given there's always content released in X.X1 patches, why not just throw Savage in there?

No. They aren't going to release content based on your own personal schedule. Losing a day or two is perfectly fine. You won't lose progress because there will already be video guides up before you can blink so you'll know what the fight is about and how to handle it.

This isn’t just about one player’s schedule. It’s a request that has been made before by world race caliber raiders. There is no negative to delaying Savage’s release a week, or even just unshackling it from normal mode. Not all raiders want to skip the story, but those doing world prog or Week 1 progression/clears usually have to choose between one or the other.

They do it for the first tier. I don’t see what the huge issue is with not doing it for the others.

I could see it if your crafters are also a part of the static, but if they’re on the sidelines I don’t see an issue? I mean, my group cleared E5s pretty easily without any crafted gear or even ruby weapons. Could’ve cleared E6s if we bothered to put more time into it outside of doing TEA. I feel like there would be quite a bit of time before reaching E7 to get the crafted gear. I’m indifferent in regards to a week delay or not. I’m in no hurry, even when I have to prog with pugs this tier. If anything it would be easier to clear for the general pop after waiting a week, since people would have more gear.

SE already staggers and delays the release of advertised patch content (sometimes content that barely calls for it) so I don't get why people are positioning themselves against this idea. Feels like you're just being contrary for the sake of being contrary.

Gonna highlight a key phrase that makes this entire thread pointless. Your Character, Your Choice. Plain and simple. SE didnt make your static schedule, SE didnt make you join a static, SE didnt make you do the raids first, nor should SE cater to YOUR schedule. You dont want to race in the first week, then dont! it REALLY IS that simple.

You're missing the point. It's not a matter of "just don't do it then" since, obviously, that's always an option. But if you want to start progress week one, right now you have to do it at the same time a bunch of other content launches, which means delaying enjoying a bunch of stuff to get started on raids. By the time you get to one or the other, a good chunk of people have already done it and it loses some of its luster (and can be spoiled).

Because some people get enjoyment out of seeing people not take part in something they enjoy I guess.

That aside I support a delay, the story is important, and they do it for the release of a new expansion, how is this any different.

Nothing is taken away. You're still getting the content, at the same time everyone else does. This is literally just asking for something that's already done at the start of each expansion cycle to be implemented for the patches for the exact same reason they implement them then to start with.
