A number of people keep asking for details, or making wild assumptions about fairly cut and dry details.
Or just completely ignoring the topic of the thread to play armchair life coach, giving advice about how to 'be better'. I wouldn't take such advice on a video game forum - don't act surprised Sasarayu doesn't either.
Instead of doing that - go here: https://www.autismspeaks.org/what-autism
This is where I went after I was diagnosed - plenty of information whether it's your child, you as an adult - or especially if you're willing to take the time to understand what autism is.
There's plenty of other sites like it.
There's also wikipedia.
There's also google.
There is zero reason to be ignorant.
Stop asking for proof - unless you're willing to go through what that process involves.
What's the process?
You show me your medical records, I'll show you mine. I'm not shy about sharing deeply personal information you have to sign a waiver to allow someone else to access - but I'll want the same in return.
Don't tell me you were expecting some membership card or award certificate to prove it. Maybe if we're lucky I might have kept one of my medals from my time in the special olympics.
Lord help me if someone drops a 'it's all in your head' - because I assume you know where the brain is as well as I do. Disabilities stem from defects, deformities or injuries to the body. That includes the brain.
Technically we could do a CAT scan - but DSM and ICD exist and are the standard - plus I flat out hate doing CAT scans.
Not at all wrong - I don't advocate medication either - but medication isn't the only answer medicine has, and rarely the first one. Advocate for behavioral training, counseling, mentoring.
Those are the first options for autism and basically any other developmental disability.
I eventually ended up on meds - plus there's only so much you can do about things like bipolar disorder. Thankfully - lithium just works.
