Please Reconsider MSQ Changes

I don't get why people refuse to acknowledge SE's statement about it for what it is - acknowledgement that this change was bad. Queues don't even have to be dead, this is SE saying in no uncertain terms "we are not pleased with the way things are after this change".

Because people then have to see that maybe we were a bit right about it, maybe it will not be that worse then we thought it would be (but that is something we will see in the future) but it was at least enough that SE already decided to increase the reward. They never do these things just for fun. They gave us the clusters on top of the adventurer in need bonus because they saw that people still did not run it with certain jobs so they do change things when its not going as intended. And seeing how fast the change happened..well the numbers spoke for themselves.

And since they never raised these things before the change we can say that this was because of the recent change..so the change seems to have impacted the roulette enough that they saw it as necessary to increase the prices even more.

It is both. It is a loophole, but it becomes an exploit as soon as it is used to avoid the intended game mechanics.
You can't report people for not wanting to watch the cutscenes, true. You can report people for using an exploit to skip the mandatory cutscenes.

I am never going to use it because if I ever go back into this I will watch through that (and probably just do it if friends need to run it through) but how exactly can they punish people for that? DCs happen and since patch 4.2 Chaos data center for example is horrible at times..how will the GM decide that this was not an accident? I mean they dont take video or screenshots of botting as evidence..how will they use DC as one? They could only do something if someone wrote it down but who would be stupid enough to do that if they plan on using it?

I'm not asking for people to be banned over this. However, I was trying to clarify that it is in fact an exploit, as some people are claiming it's not. People can defend using this method all they want, but it doesn't change what it is. That's all.

IMO, there are far better things to be wasting GMs time with than "this guy DC'd in order to skip a CS!".

LOL if anyone want to ban ppl for exploiting things than they should start banning bot users first and than we can talk about banning exploiters.

The change I would make is if all 8 have cleared it then CS skipable.
Other wise... unskipable. But mass penitly if you leave.

My personal take, and sorry if this has been said before....but why not just retool the dungeons to be epic single player missions?

That's what the vast majority of people would like to see happen, but it's likely too much effort for SE to just throw out of nowhere. They'd have to set time aside for it and they're hell bent on spending that time on Perform and the glamour toilet.

They could have done it if they wanted, dont tell me not even 3 years is enough to fix something that ppl demanded. Well this is SE they could even make normal glamour system, what do we expect from them anyways? lol

I'm the first person who says that it's more than possible, they just didn't allocate the resources and time for it. Why, that's the question.

For everyone suggesting cutscenes be skippable if all 8 players have cleared the content, let me ask you something: if they did that, and you queued, and you got Praetorium with unskippable cutscenes, what would you do?

Because the smart thing to do would be to immediately leave the instance, take the half-hour penalty, queue again at that point, and hope cutscenes were skippable. If they were, you'd get the same bonus in less overall time.

That's why they won't do that. It gives you an incentive to queue speculatively, which hurts new players even more than the old system did.

So after doing Castrum Meridianum, I'm thoroughly convinced that the changes were specifically intended to punish speedrunners. There's probably more that could still be done with CM on that matter since can still be partially ruined by people trying to rush ahead, but overall I actually like these changes. Maybe lower the max ilvl to somewhere under 100 so that players have to actually think about mechanics.

It's still not worth 200 poetics, especially if it's an all-vet run, but I'm still convinced it's at least a baby step in a better direction.

Easy fix add a option in roulette duty that lets you choose. If you want join a party with new players that haven't been there before and watch cutscenes for the boost or not to join a party with new players in it and skip the cutscenes. How it is now won't be running it much not after seeing how low the exp. boost was and don't give a care about poetics that never use. Use to run it everyday when was on.

2 Hour Penalty for dropping MS Roulette if there's a new player.

Suddenly it's faster to deal with it.
