    What if you could script alerts to notify a healer when a party member is dropping in HP, so that you wouldn't have to pay attention to the party list? I think (not 100% sure though) it's even been possible for the program to call out which party members have debuffs you need to react to... It's about removing the chance for human error for certain parts of the player performance (in looking / calling stuff out) and replacing the player activity with automated one. Definitely unfair advantage that I would consider cheating.

    Call-outs don't preclude you from having to act.

    Even if you did have a "hey heal this dude" trigger, you would still actually have to heal said dude.

    I've personally played with and without triggers. It definitely helped me when I was captain tunnel vision back in Twintania and didn't see her casting Twister - so it certainly feels like a bit of an advantage...but at the same time, as others have pointed out, it's not much different to people calling things out in VOIP.

    Someone yelling at me about the fact that they are dying doesn't necessarily feel advantageous.
