How does SE justify these ten min enrages, but doesnt let anyone know their dps

Parsers are useless.

They're not useless when used correctly.

What parsers are, are great big books full of information and detailed breakdowns of many many things within a fight.

The problem is the general community never actually bothers to read that big book. Instead they just look at the front cover that has there dps on and make all there judgements just on that front cover.

Which goes back to what I said earlier. And is evidenced by people that ask for just a personal parser or just a dps number at the end of a fight. They think they can make an informed and accurate judgement on only a fraction of the Information.

They don't want to read a great big book of information and understand why that number is what it is. They just want a shiny front cover with that number on it. Even if they have no clue what it really means or how to correctly interpret it.

I'm all for adding parsers in the game. But when and only when the community learns and understands what a parser really is and does. Which is why my current standpoint is a big NO. Because the community just doesn't know what parsers are and what they do. As evidenced by those who repeatedly ask for just a personal parse because they think that just seeing maybe 2% of the Information a full parse provides is enough to paint a full picture.
